boarding the ship???

hi all

having never cruised before am wondering if our check in time corresponds to when we board the ship or is boarding not tied in to when your check in time is-

You will board the ship shortly after your check in time. We checked in and my son had to change a babies diaper and we had to wait on them, we could have boarded so quickly! I think the check in times have really shortened the time between checking in and boarding.

Before you board they will take your families picture. There are usually fun pictures to have. They have several places set up for the pictures and it does not delay you much. DCL really has everything down from boarding to disembarking.

Yes, your boarding number is tied to your check in time, so if you have a 1:00 check-in time, but show up at 11, you will still have a higher boarding number.
