We are Platinum and are sailing with silver cruisers.

Can they check in with us at the Concierge/Platinum desk ??

We will get boarding group 1. Can they go ahead and board with us, or do they have to wait until their assigned boarding number ??

in the past, passengers not Platinum would have to board separately.

I'm assuming you want to have the group boarding picture taken all together. In that case, just wait until their boarding group is called to board.

It depends on your reservations. Are they linked, are platinum members in the stateroom? If they are just traveling with you no.

We took extended family on a cruise but we had our family (platinum) booked in each room. We checked in all together and boarded all together and they all got platinum timeframes for scheduling excursions, etc. It isn’t/wasn’t hard to re-organize everyone into the correct rooms after check-in so a few minutes at guest service is a small price to pay.

I was Platiunum long before my sister. Her and her husband were gold and silver but they checked in with us and were given the same boarding number 1. This has happened multiple times and with extended family as well.

This is going to be one of those situations where it really depends on the CM you talk to you that day. Some people report being able to board together as platinum, other people say that they were told they could not do that. It doesn’t hurt to ask on the day that you arrive to check in.

I Usually travel with friends who are platinum and don't have any kind of issues checking in but then again, the post above said it best. It really is dealers choice when it comes to checking in. Some CM's are extremely welcoming and fine checking everyone in at the same place. Some will turn you away. More often than not, I haven't seen people with issues.

The big one I see is Concierge Vs Non Concierge. I have seen them turn away non-concierge people before who are in the traveling party with concierge guests.

We are platinum and they have never let our grandkids and mom board with us they have been offered #2. They are only 2 cruises away, so hopefully we won’t have to bother anymore then. Yes, we always ask and always told no. No big deal, we just wait for them in the atrium and take pictures

I think they also look at how many you are wanting to do this with. For example, if its you daughter and her husband they could possibly say yes. If, on the other hand, it's the Friday night get together group of ten and you are the only platinum they would probably say no.
As noted above, YMMV.

Agree with SamFaniam that the CM would be the one to determine a Go/No Go for others. We have cruised other lines now ONLY recognizing SUITE GUESTS for earliest boarding and special perks that were once available to Platinum/similar. Some cruise lines are acknowledging the BIG BUCK$ spent for the cruise Suites and not the fact that somebody has sailed many times is simply staying in an inside on the cruise.
