Hi All,

Getting ready for our surprise trip tomorrow, DD age 8 has no idea we are going!!!
We are flying Southwest and will print our boarding passes from home tonight. Just wondering if anyone knows how to print boarding passes from a DVC resort for our return flight?

Thanks

PS Anyone know what's up with my countdown clock?

Never mind the clock question it was blank in the preview screen, but looks fine now :confused3

To print boarding passes from a WDW resort you need to visit one of the business centers on property. There is a fee to use the computers $15 for the first 10 minutes I believe and then an additional fee for printing. The business centers are located at BW, CSR, GF and YC. I believe there is a similiar place at S/D that you can use and their prices are lower, but I really don't know much about it. You can also go off-site to a Kinkos or similiar place and print your passes there. Other than that, your options are wait until you get to the airport.

When we did it (NWA) we used the web phones - which don't have a printer - to get seat assignments and check in. Then used the NWA console to print "duplicate" tickets at the airport.

The problem with that is that WDW is removing the Web Phones from property.

Last trip, the front desk at SSR printed mine out at 12:10 AM.

I just got back Tuesday............the front desk at WL gladly printed the boarding passes for me.

In August, I was able to get our passes printed at the BW front desk. I just made a point of going very early in the morning (before 7am) before it got busy. It's always been our experience that Disney CM's are very helpful.

THe front desk at BWV also did mine (at around 1AM) I made sure I was there when no one was waiting. I brought her seom chocolates for the effort. However, I would always view this as a favor and would never ask if there were people waiting.

just remember you can't get into the Airtran website for boarding passes unless its 24 hrs before your flight. we do it at BWV but when we tried to do it at OKW they said they were not set up for it. :earseek:

I actually carry my own portable printer. It is so small it fits into the computer case with the laptop. I was able to print my boarding passes right at the stroke of midnight on our last trip.

We flew AirTran and printed our Passes from home. I called front desk of SSR and they told me they could not print them for me on the return flight. If you are flying AirTran, go to web site 24hrs before flight and check in. When you go to MCO, the sidewalk check-in will reprint your boarding passes. You have your seats already assigned when you checked in, and they will give you a copy there. Hope that helps.

Greetings!

Just got back from a week at SSR; I'm going to post a trip report, but I have info on this topic. (I started a thread on this a few weeks ago....)

The evening of our last night, DW called the SSR front desk and asked if they would print out Southwest boarding passes for us the next morning. The CM told her no, that we'd have to go to the Y&BC Business Center to do so. I then called the Y&BC BC to 1) make sure this was correct and 2) inquire as to their hours. A nice CM named Terry (Terrie?) said that they'd be glad to, but she thought that all WDW front desks had been cleared to print out boarding passes for guests. We went out to dinner, then DW called the SSR front desk again. The nice CM named Autumn (not the one she'd talked to earlier) at first said no, but when DW quoted Terry, Autumn said she'd "Check with the Operations Team". After a brief wait, Autumn said that there had been a policy change, and that yes, all WDW front desks are allowed to - and have the necessary access to - print out boarding passes for all airlines. She told us that any CM could help us, and that they'd have to use a computer "in the back".

At around 8AM on departure morning, I took the four confirmation printouts and went to the Carriage House - CM Cassandra helped me out. She said "no problem" - I was anticipating having to tell the "policy change" story, but didn't need to. She took the info and went in the back. ONE KEY NOTE: these CMs don't necessarily have experience with your airline's web site - another CM had to help Cassandra find the "print boarding pass" page on the SWA site; in all fairness, it isn't obvious to a newbie, but you might have some hints ready.... But we got the passes ("A", 9-12 for those keeping score).

This is official, at least per several SSR/Y&B BC CMs and the "Operations Team" on 12/11/2004.

Be well!

We just came back Wednesday from VWL and were told by 3 CMs that they would print our boarding passes. I went to the desk at MN and the CM said she had to take my info and someone would print them "when the computers came back up at 4 AM". Don't know if that's the usual routine, or just for that night. I even got a phone call in the AM, reminding me to pick up my boarding passes from the front desk. Everyone was very pleasant about it.

This will be good to know when we can no longer use preboarding.... LOVE preboarding.

AND I am tickled that SWA now has it set up so multi reservations can log in at midnight and reserve an 'A' boarding pass.

It sounds like this would work from your own laptop too. We couldn't figure out how to do it, so we just waited until we got to the airport. It actually worked out quite well. We must have hit the airport at a good time, because it wasn't as busy as we have had it before.

When we were there (BWV) over Thanksgiving, I printed our boarding passes from the business center and was not charged. They said this service is free.

I had no idea they'd help with this. This is very good to know!

Time saver! :)
