Boarding Passes and Photo ID

Hi

My question is

I am flying with Spirit, in June without luggage (son is driving and is taking ours). I will have a boarding pass, so when will they check my photo ID? I was just wondering.

I've had mine checked at the counter (which you can avoid since you already will have a boarding pass), always at security, and sometimes right before I board the plane.

They'll check going through security, and occasionally as they're taking the boarding pass as you're getting onto the plane.

My DH and I have taken several trips through Cincinnati recently and they always check it when you board the plane. Our new catchphrase when we land there is, "We check ID in Cincinnati!" They repeat it constantly over the loudspeakers.

Thanks, I have not flown in a few years, and could not remember , if they checked going thru security.

Just returned yesterday from a r/t between IND and MCO and our ID was checked at the check-in counter and security only and not at the gate. In your case maybe only at security.

Recently been through Albany, NY; Baltimore, MD; Tampa, FL & Orlando, FL airports. ID was checked at the check in desk (when I used it) and security to the gates. I have not been checked boarding the plane for a year or so.

We have been checked the last 3 times at curbside check-in, security (sometimes twice!) and then at the gate too.
