Hi everyone!! Just another quick question for the flyers out there!!! How do you usually get your boarding pass? Do you get it at the airport? or print it out online?

Curious, getting a little nervous. Flying out next Friday, and it's the first time I have flown since 2000.

TIA for your help!

We've been flying Song out of Logan. In Dec my dd and I had only carry-on, so we were able to check in on-line. Very nice. In August, we had bags to check, so we used Song's kiosks in the terminal. Very quick and very easy!! No more waiting in those long lines for me again!!

In December we flew Continental out of Cleveland and I printed our boarding passes off the computer. Worked great. We checked our luggage at a special line they have just for pre printed boarding passes and didn't have to wait in the long lines everyone else was. We will do it again in just a couple of weeks.

Depends on the airline. When I fly SWA I get it when I check my bags with the skycap, cause you cannot get them online.

If I fly NWA, I print out my boarding pass at home

If I fly SWA I get it at the counter. I RARELY check luggage and fly with a carry on only.

If I have carry-on bags only, I'll do online check in or use the self-service machines. (When it's an option.)

If I'm checking luggage I'll usually just go to the skycap and get my boarding passes there. You can do that at most airports. If you have to wait in line to check anyway, there's no real time saving with doing online check in.

I LOVE online check-in!
We fly ATA and always print our boarding passes at home. The best thing about it is that we can select an exit row when we do it, not to mention the time it saves at the airport.

Hey - it's new to me also, Pryncess'mom! I'm going to print our Song boarding passes Tuesday night for our Wednesday flight. I'm a nervous wreck about it!

Only good thing is I will have a chance to check out where the kiosks are at MCO after we land, since I'lll have to use those for our return trip!

All this fancy-schmancy stuff! Where's my horse and buggy!

We always have luggage to check so I get my boarding pass from the skycap when I check my luggage. It is nice to just drop off the luggage at the curb and get the pass and go right to the gate. Well worth the tip for the skycap.

Harambe....I sure do feel your pain!!! I just knew that I was going to somehow cancel my seats the first time I used the self serve machines!!! And printing out my first boarding pass at home?!?! Well. I just knew that when I got to the airport I would be told.."Noo, you don't have any seats with us." I felt pretty accomplished the first time I booked on-line and that was for our trip last summer. I guess you really can teach old dogs new tricks. Once you get used to all this new-fangled stuff, it's a breeze.

The skycap line at peak times here in Cleveland can be just as long as the inside lines. The pre-printed boarding pass luggage drop off line is usually empty since very few people print their boarding passes. In the summer I might go back to skycap but for the colder months I'll pre-print. I'm a freeze baby.
