Boarding Group on AP Certificate?

Hi all!

I have a bit of a funky question - my family is headed to WDW in December, and my current AP expires in November. Luckily I was able to get a renewal certificate a few months ago, so I'll just need to activate it at the ticket window like usual (with DVC APs, anyway).

My issue is, I'm flying in late Saturday night for an early park AM Sunday at Hollywood Studios. I have a park pass for DHS (along with the rest of my fam) but my ticket won't be activated until that morning. Will that preclude me from getting a boarding group? If it does, and if I'm still able to grab one for the rest of them, I'm hoping I'll be able to fix it once I'm in the park at GET. Just not sure if anyone has had this issue.

This is not confirmed information but if your certificate has allowed you to get a park reservation then I would anticipate you will also be able to try for a BG as the system looks for park reservations at 7AM.

Definitely assuming the same!

Interestingly enough, I just got back from a short weekend trip to say goodbye to HEA, and my two friends were included in my BG party pre-AP activation. Theirs were brand new and non-renewals, but we had to go to the ticket window at DHS before they entered the park (and right before our group was called, incidentally). Hoping it works the same in December!
