Board Walk Villas or POP?

I recently booked the Board Walk Villas (studio) for this summer but now I am having second thoughts since we usually stay at POP and really love it there. I got a fantastic deal, so money is not the question. I think POP is so fun and lively, I hope the Board Walk Villas are not too "grown up" (lacking in Disney motif). Any thoughts from people that may have stayed at both???

I honeymooned at Boardwalk Inn and fell in love with it! Then we went back last year with our DD5 and stayed at POP. You are right that Boardwalk is not as themed as POP, but it is very lively! In the evenings there are street performers along the boardwalk and it's lots of fun, plus you have several restaurants there and it's a short walk to Epcot World Showcase (which is one of our favorite aspects to this resort).

We're going back in May and staying at POP again because, quite frankly, we are park commandos and rarely in our room, so for us to pay 3 times as much for a bed seems crazy. But one other thing, the rooms are quite a bit larger at Boardwalk than at POP, and this may come into play as our daughter gets bigger. Either way, I think you'll be okay, but if I got a great deal and money were no object, I'd stay at Boardwalk.

I would say go for BWV just b/c it's something new for you!

The entertainment at the BW is supposed to be neat, plus you can walk to both HS and Epcot-can't beat that!

There is no comparison between the two. A studio in BWV is larger, has a microwave, toaster, coffee pot & small refrigerator. Its a short walk (or take the boat) to Epcot and the Studios. Its got Disney atmosphere everywhere.

we love the Epcot Resorts area and the Boardwalk Villas would be my choice. We stayed in a 1 bedroom in October and we loved it there. However we are 3 adults now, so that may be different. Who will be in your party and what are their ages? Which park(s) will you mainly focus on.
If you have young children and the MK is your main focus, maybe you would like to go back to POP.
If you have older ones, or it is just the two of you, and you will spend a lot of time in Epcot and the Studios, the Boardwalk location can not be beat.
As others have said, the bed is also bigger (Queen vs. Full) and you will have a kitchenette in the studio, including a Refrigerator.
If you have a deal where you can get the Boardwalk Villa Studio for the same nightly rate as a room at POP, I would definitely do that. The opportunity for this may never come along again.
Good Luck with your decision.

Of course BWV! I've stayed at BCV and LOVE the nighttime atmosphere of the Boardwalk. It's proximity to Epcot and the Studios is a huge plus also (if you don't mind walking to the Studios). That, and I prefer the atmosphere of that area b/c it's themed, but not outrageously so.

Once you stay at BW, you'll never want to go anywhere else...except maybe across the pond to the Yacht Club.

We split our stay at BW and POP. Basically economics dictated it...Pop was a good experience, but as mentioned, there is no comparison. The atmosphere, the walk to Epcot and MGM....It's great

that's like comparing a dodge neon to a jaguar........both do the same basic job, but there is are a lot of very good reasons why one cost so much more. not saying the lower priced option is bad, just basic. :)

so, if someone offered you a neon or a jag for the same price, which would you chose?
;)
