Board Shutdown tomorrow night-

The boards will be coming down at 10:30pm Eastern time tomorrow, Friday the 23rd, for some upgrades. The shutdown is expected to last several hours.
(geek version- we are migrating to a new LUN on the SAN with more drives in order to improve our IO wait times)

I'll see if it continues into the weekdays when it seems to be busiest. I mean, people are off work over the weekend, so the boards are usually pretty quick anyway . Once people go back to work is when they get busy.

I would think the boards would be busiest on the weekends when people are off work and can be at home using them. Are you saying that people are on here when they are at work?

At my company we can't even access the Dis boards. Most boards are blocked by a filter preventing access. There are a few that we can see, I read them at lunch but never post to them from work.

The boards are FAR slower on weekends. If I recall, Monday's, late morning, are typically the peak traffic.

There are FAR more posts made during working hours then there are on the weekends..

I will give them credit, so far it seems to have worked very well. Granted after the boards are shut down, it sometimes take the web crawlers and stuff time to get back to work, but today has been VERY quick. If it's this smooth towards the end of the week, I'd say they are on the right track for sure!
