For those of you whole did a blurb guest book with your engagement pictures in it....did you use just your profesional pics or did you put in candid pics as well?
We have just finished making our guest/photo book and it turned out amazing !!! Can't wait until its delivered so that I can see it for real.
We used the professional photos that Randy had taken for the first 26 or so pages then we had the rest of the book made from old photos of just Lee and I on our own, Us and the kids when they were born/little, then a double page montage of us in Disney/Universal.
I will post pictures once it arrives but I think it takes 1-2 weeks.
Does anyone know what type of pen I should buy to write on this book? I want something that won't smudge.
I think a Sharpie would bleed through to the other side. Also, I'm not sure how Sharpie ink holds up over time. It may turn the paper around it yellow or start to bleed since it's not archival-quality ink.
However, Sharpie makes something called a "water-based paint marker" that it claims is acid-free and archival....
If the paper is at all glossy, even a tiny bit a sharpie will bleed and smear (I used to work at a scrapbook store, and have seen people cry over messed up pages over a sharpie)
American Crafts Slick Writers are the best options. There is another company that makes a pen for glossy paper, but it doesn't dry nearly as fast as the slick writer.
If you're pages have no gloss then either go with Slick Writer still or American Crafts craft pens. They are great. I've been using them for years, and haven't found anything better.
