Which one of these restaurants do you like best? What's good on the menu? Which has the best atmosphere? Details please!!! :teeth:

We have enjoyed the Veal dishes and the pasta dishes at Il Mulino. The Lobster Tempura at BlueZoo has been the best choice on the menu for us. Both are very nicely themed restaurants with I think a bit of an edge going to BlueZoo. Both are very nice however!

Been to both more than once, just booked this spring's ADR's, left Bluezoo off this trip, kept Il Milino on.

Blue Zoo was "off" during our last visit, Il Milino was a pleasant surprise.

Just one opinion....

Thanks for the input. They both sound great. Do you like them both equally? I'm pretty sure I'd like Il Mulino best. I'm a pasta loving, carboholic. My DH & DS(15) would probably like bluezoo better. We may end up trying both. If not, I hope I make the best choice.

I didn't see your post, before I replied. I'm glad to see you enjoyed IM too. Do you think it's a step above your average Italian restaurant, therefore worthy of the cost? What do you like on the menu? Thanks again for your help. :)

They are both very good, and if you are staying in the area (like at the Boardwalk), they are extremely convenient. Both also have distinctive atmospheres.

Il Milino's pastas were excellent.

FYI - although Blue Zoo and Il Milino are great, our true favorite restauart on property is Jiko. Try it if you can.

We're considering going to Jiko. It's one of the few WDW restaurants we haven't tried. To be honest, all the recent bad reviews for restaurants participating in the DDP have us thinking we may prefer restaurants that aren't affected by the plan. We're going to the Bistro de Paris for sure, & are looking into other non-DDP restaurants. I'm not sure what we'll end up choosing yet.

Another vote for Il Mulino, we are going there next week

Haven't been to IL Mulino, but some of the (few) reviews on the Board haven't been exactly kind.
I have been to Blue Zoo 5 times. It's a pricy, but nice spot for seafood, rather subdued atmosphere (ie, not too many kids) compared to most WDW venues. The service we've had has always been good.

My DW and I enjoy the Disney dining experience often as much as we enjoy the parks.

We do not do the DDP for the reason you state, we enjoy the freedom to eat where and what we want even (if it is off site).

Everyone has their own opinion of what they like, for example - we wil NEVER go back to Victoria and Albert's, yet others love it.

Hope you find some of the many excellent dining experiences during your trip!

You guys aren't helping me at all. j/k :rotfl: Looks like we're going to have to try both. ;)

It's a shame that WDW dining isn't what it used to be. We've always thought Le Cellier was hit or miss, but when you have the LC faithful saying their recent meal there wasn't good, it makes you wonder about the restaurants that participate in the DDP. :sad2: Naturally, that's just one example. I've noticed it for a few of the "loved by many" restaurants.
