Bluetooth Question

I really need to get some sort of a hands free device for my phone. Using the phone without one is illegal in my state, so I'm way overdue to have one I can actually use.

In the past I've had one of those plug in cord things with one ear bud. I don't mind this so much, but sometimes I've gotten caught up in the cord, which seems more dangerous than holding the phone, but we're not going to debate THAT right now, this is about the bluetooth things.

So with my last phone, I bought the standard bluetooth thing with the arm that your wrap around your ear. Well it just does NOT work for me no matter how much I try to use it. First, my ears are rather small, so the arm thing doesn't fit well around my ear and tends to fall off. (I can barely wear earbuds for my mp3 player without them falling out because they don't fit right) Secondly, I wear glasses, so the arm thing doesn't fit around my glasses. Sure, I can take my glasses off and sort of wear the darn thing if I keep adjusting it every 2 seconds, but there's no point because I can't drive without my glasses on.

What I really need is some sort of alternative earpiece without the arm thing around my ear. Does such a thing exist?

I have a jawbone bluetooth ear piece. It came with 5 different ear pieces for different ears. Great sound quality, I really like it.

I have a few I've used over the years... I really have a hard time with the ones that try to hang onto my ear.

They do make ones that go over the head, instead:

I didn't want a cord or anything on my ear. My husband found something that clips on the window shade and works like a speaker for the phone. I love it.

He found it online and the sticker on the back says Jabra Model HFS001.

I just need to recharge it occasionally and remember to flip it on and off when getting in and out of the car. It recharges with my phone charger.

The sound quality is usually pretty good. If someone from my phone contact list calls me, it announces them. You just push a button to connect or disconnect.

I think there are quite a few versions of these devices available. People just don't seem to know about them and friends are always surprised when they see mine. The one I had before this one was called a Blue Ant and I believe it was made by Blue Tooth. I think he may have paid around $100 for it, which is lot's cheaper than a ticket.

I have (and love) the Blue Ant S4 Speaker. It clips on my sunvisor and connects via Bluetooth. Also cones with software that will read incoming text and e-mail messages. You can purchase the software upgrade that will allow you to reply by voice, but I didn't do that. Now, I can use my smartie phone when I am in the car! :cool1:

You might want to look into getting a custom earpiece made for which every Bluetooth you have now. There are kiosk's at the mall that do this otherwise look online or at a hearing aid place near you.
