DD turns 13 on our trip next month and we thought one of these would be good fun.

Which one would you do and why?

Many thanks

Cirque du Soleil is skillful, arty and breathtaking.

Blue Man group is funny, entertaining and loud.

It really depends which you think your DD might enjoy more.

I have seen both and, of the two, BMG would get my vote as it is the more overall entertaining of the two. We took DS (10) last year and he absolutely loved it. Cirque du Soleil went over his head a little - although he really did enjoy it, a lot of the (what I would call) 'arty farty' stuff was a bit much for him.

If you are thinking of dinner beforehand, I can highly recommend Nascar Cafe - it was one of the best meals of our trip last year :thumbsup2

Totally agree with Joh's post.
I have seen La Nouba twice and 'O' in Vegas, I just don't appreciate what they do, same as I have zero interest in Ballet or Opera, not my kind of entertainment.
On the other hand I really like the BMG, seen it twice and would go again without hesitation.

Ditto this

I am going to be different to the others my 12 year old loved la Nouba and wanted to go twice on our last trip but he thought the blue man group was good but not as good as the la Nouba, I think it really depends on your child to be honest, think personally both we're really good but I would choose la Nouba, sorry.

La Nouba every time. It is beautiful and incredibly skilful. It leaves me open mouthed. The performers are hugely talented.

No need to be sorry. We are all different and have different tastes - that's why it's such a subjective question. What some people love, others don't enjoy. I, personally loved, La Nouba but I know some people just don't 'get it' - and that's understandable, it is quite surreal in places. My DS enjoyed it but was only really impressed by the acrobatics and tricks - the singing and the 'arty' sections, he just didn't understand.

We saw The Beatles - Love by CDS in Las Vegas and that was completely surreal, particularly towards the end. While it still took my breath away, I was a little bit :confused3 too

Another vote for Cirque here. :thumbsup2 We've seen BMG and enjoyed it but absolutely loved La Nouba. Since then DD has been to see Allegria and again thought it was out of this world. Can't really recommend it highly enough and in my opinion has much greater variety than BMG. For me, BMG performers are skilled percussionists and good performers with a quirky sense of humour but the overall spectacle, the level of skill, the variety combined with outstanding music and live musicians wins hands down every time. As others have said, preference is personal.

BMG for me:thumbsup2...I just wasn't that impressed at all with La Nouba. I do love lots of the cirques shows though but this one just didn't do it for me. My fav has been LOVE in Vegas by far, but that's because DH's dad was one of the Beatles roadies and was the only other non Beatle mentioned in LOVE. :goodvibes

personally I don't think you can go wrong with either.

BMG is fun, loud & entertaining.

Cirque is also entertaining, fun and can be very moving too. There are a few loud bits in it too.

I would suggest having a quick look at a youtube video of each but sometimes they give a bit of the story away.

Good luck deciding :thumbsup2

I saw both a few weeks ago, its impossible to compare them. BMG is about the music with comedy and no real stunts where La nouba is all circus acts but very plussed up.

If your DD Likes Dance music she will very much like the ending of BMG.

I like both but for very different reasons.

If you booking BMG have a look at the UK agents like Travel republic or ATD. They sell them much cheaper than universal, I even saved compared to the annual pass discount.

Join the Cirque club and you can sometimes get a 30% discount there.
