I pretty much have my heart set on going to Blue Lagoon on our 4day Wonder Nassau day. My only question is should I book the Disney excursion or do it all own my own? I was ready to book through Disney until a read more about it in Deb's Unofficial Disney Cruise Guide. In this guide, there is an opportunity to get all the beach benefits, lunch, drinks and snorkling with the stingrays (this is what we really wanted to do) all for the low, low price of $75 pp. We (DH,myself, DS 12 and DD 11) were also looking forward to maybe parasailing while there as well as doing some water trikes ect. We had planned on making a whole day of it. Figured we do all the fun stuff here so that we can just hangout and float and do nothing at CC.
However, I am a little confused about how the whole transportation thing to and from the ship will work if I don't go through Disney. I sure as heck do not want to miss being back on the boat because I was ignorant of transportation modes!! What is the latest time you can be back on the boat on Nassau day? Help me....I'm stressing out!!

Where can you get info on the stringray thing? I wasn't aware that that could be done in Nassau.

I went to Deb's site but didn't see anything about it....Is it in the guide that you download? Is there a website?

Thanks!

Sonya,
Yes it is in the guide that can be downloaded. This guide is amazing. My sincere appreciation to Deb. The stringray swim is located on the other side of Blue Lagoon, a short walk from the dolphin encounter. How cool does that sound??? Now you know why I posted....

Wow!! I'd love to get in on that deal as well!! Please post details.... what "Debs' guide" ?? are you talking about?? Help me out here! Whaaahoooo. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thanks again, Dave. With all this info I have scattered around me, I could not find the correct website. BTW, do you have any insight as to my original posting regarding Blue Lagoon?

We did the Blue Lagoon on our 4 day Wonder trip this past New Year's Eve. I prebooked it through Disney. We all met in one of the bars on the ship early in the morning. We then all walked over to small boat that would take us to the Blue Lagoon. I really enjoyed this outing. We paid extra for the water bikes and snorkeling equipment. I would not recommend the water bikes (they are exhausing and you feel like you are getting no where) but the snorkeling was great. Only problem with snorkeling was you are kind of on your own, they just give you the gear. I had done this before so I was ok but alittle hard if it is your first time. We had the lunch that came with the excursion an have it say it was the worst meal we had on the entire trip. You could purchase other food if you wanted to.

You can also swim with the Stingrays at Blue Lagoon and we started walking over to that area to see it but it was far from where we were and it started raining.

There are two boat that go back to Nassau from Blue Lagoon. I believe they left at 2:00 or 5:00. It had started raining so we took the 2:00 boat back. This boat also stops at Atlantis and we wanted to get off there but it was raining so hard we just went back to Nassau.

I believe the Wonder does not leave Nassau until late at night so you should make it back in plenty of time.

Thanks, Ipizzu
That was a great report. I think that I will book the excursion through Disney and then add the stingray swim when I get to Stingray City. That way, I'll have piece of mind. Sometimes you have to not worry about getting the best deal and just go with what you know works. Thanks again.
