i have 3 Grandchildren, ages 3,7 and 12. The older boy wants to do the swim. Can he do the swim and the younger ones and myself do the encounter.
Also, we'd like to go to the beach afterwards. Do we have to book the Blue Lagoon Beach Day in addition. To booking the encounter and the swim ?

This is a link to the blue Lagoon's requirements page. It looks like a 12-year-old would not be able to do the dolphin swim on their own. http://www.bahamasbluelagoon.com/rules-restrictions.php

I have not done the dolphin encounter, but we did do the sea lion encounter a couple years ago. We were allowed to spend as much time on the beach after as we wished. There were two times that the ferry returned to Nassau.

We did the dolphin swim/observer 4yrs ago and we were able to enjoy the beach afterwards. The ferry back to Nassau seemed to leave every hour. The blue lagoon beach was very clean- water clear and warm and very calm. Perfect for little ones.

You do not need to book the separate Beach Day excursion - that is for those only going to the beach (for that excursion, lunch is included). When you stay at the beach after an animal encounter, you would separately pay for lunch (if you want, or go back to the boat to eat).
