Blue Goose Trip

Well, I hope that this time around with such a large group and with so many "newbies" as well, that everyone will have a wonderful time and no one will ever feel left out.

This trip is also about learning what works and what doesn't. We learned that it's way better to all be at one resort. That will make a huge difference. We learned that it best to break off into smaller groups, that have the same interests in shows and rides at any given park. We learned we never want to eat at Park Fare ever again!! :lmao:

I had a great welcome right when I got off the bus from Kat, Tammy and January. They were all standing there waiting for me. Of course I was about an hour and a half later than I thought coming from the airport!! So they may have been waiting to strangle me!! :rotfl2:

I admit there were times I felt a little shy, but that's my own issue that I had to push to the side and just jump right in and have fun. And I did. I had a great time. :thumbsup2

So here's to having an even better trip this time around!

I'd really like to see one or two more "events" where we all get together as a group.
We could do a poll and the greatest responses would "win"? I don't know, it would be so fun to be a part of that large group at a restaurant and/or show.
My suggestions would be some character meal (it could even be breakfast--a late one from what I see ) for a great picture op and fun, and Fantasmic dinner seating somewhere, but I'm TOTALLY open!

Right now we are still just starting to do the planning so as things are talked about and decided on, I will add them to the schedule on the front page.

I can tell you that last year we had about 45 ladies total and the most we had at any given meal or event was about 30. It's very hard to get everyone together and to agree on the same things.

So while we will plan more things to do, I doubt it will be the entire group. Most likely things will be done in groups of a dozen ladies or so.

For example the Segway tour is something that a few of them did last year, and loved it.
Some of the new ladies are talking about doing that this year but not everyone will want to since some have done it, but I bet you could still get a good sized group.

Just not everyone, kwim?

Trust me as time goes on, you'll see what I mean. :rotfl:

I am going to do this in November:

International Dinner and IllumiNations Dessert Reception
Meet your friends and family at the Odyssey in Epcot® for a celebration of international friendship. Your well-traveled and fun-loving hostess, Auntie Roz, welcomes you to amazing tastes from around the world. Help yourself to delectable international cuisine served family-style, where everyone from Grandma to Junior is sure to find a favorite dish.

As you feast, Auntie Roz and some of your favorite Disney Characters sing, dance and tell stories — sometimes they even need your help! And Auntie Roz loves birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions, so if you've got something to celebrate just give her the word and she'll give you plenty of recognition, including a special song.

After your international eating adventure, end your evening on a sweet note with a scrumptious dessert buffet and a private, reserved viewing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. Theme park admission is required.

Price:
Adults and Juniors - $59.99, Children (ages 3-9) - $24.99 (available 180 days prior)

It was talked about last time and there wasn't enough interest, including from me. The cost was an issue. But this will be my treat to myself this time, instead of more souvenirs that I don't have room for. lol

I think it sounds like fun so I am going to plan on doing this while I'm there.

I especially like the thought of a private viewing area for Illuminations.

Hopefully there will be a few others who'd like to join me as well. :)

I am in for this (and my friend too). Well I guess it depends on when I leave, right now I am planning on leaving the day you are planning this, but that might change so I will just have to wait and see!

Thank you all. With all the talk of mall shopping it may me go to the bigger
better mall.
Got some good buys for my 2 DD and the exchange. :yay:

The Festival Bay Mall is huge, but as I found out in November, it is practically empty! I am sure more stores were coming but it felt almost abandoned, except for the Bass Pro Shop, which I am sure all you ladies love to shop :rotfl2: They were opening a Ron Jon indoor surfing place which sounds really cool :thumbsup2

Has anyone been to the Mall at Millenia (or whatever it is called)?

A group dinner possibility -

The Pepper Market at CSR. The dining area is huge, tables could be easily moved to accommodate large numbers. They have a large selection of food (sandwiches, salads, mexican (yummy!), steaks, oriental etc), and everything I have eaten there has been good. You pay your own bill at the cash register, so there are no bills to separate and if there are people on the dp that works too (actually is a cs credit so it's a great deal!!!). There are areas that are sort of off to themselves so we could get in that area so as not to disturb others.
