Blue Goose Trip

Hi Zoemakes5,
I think your ideas are excellent. Unfortunately, I'm not clever enough to have thought of them myself but that's exactly the kind of plan I was trying to suggest!!
Give yourself more credit! I am sure you'd have some wonderful ideas to contribute.

And as far as being shy, I am shy too. Very. That's the beauty of posting online and getting to know someone that way first. It's takes off some of the awkwardness from when you do meet. You already feel as though you know them.

I can only imagine how busy you are with all that going on. But if you get a few minutes here or there, pop on the chat thread. Just go to the last page and say hey, what's up?!

If we are talking about tv shows, chime in. If it's about bratty kids, speak up. Add your two cents. We'd love to get to chat with you. And everyone else who is coming on the trip this time around.

Michelle has her Get-to-know-you thread up and running, so if you haven't already I am sure she'd love for you to go and post there:

2007 Ladies Trip Get-to-know-you thread

Also please remember to keep checking the FIRST page of this thread for any updates and lists!! Thanks!

I think the getting to know you thread is a good idea. It will really help me to get to know the people that are joining this thread. It took a long time to get to know the first group (I remember in the beginning I kept getting Kendra, Deena, and Anita mixed up) but now I couldn't imagine that happening and I can't wait to get to know the new people too. :goodvibes

I am not exactly shy but I tend to be very reserved. It takes awhile for me to completely relax around people and build trust. It amazes me everyday that I have built this with many women here and I can say I have friends from every corner of the United States (or I will when Beth moves her family to NV :teeth:)

Kelly, I read your other post about how you came in later on in the last trip planning. And I had forgotten all about that. I was telling Ruben that you just jumped in and stuck with it and kept posting, so I actually forgot you came in later on.

It seemed as though you were there with us right from the start.

I'm thinking we need another group hug :rolleyes1 and a song

When youre down and troubled
And you need a helping hand
And nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest nights.

You just call out my name,
And you know whereever I am
Ill come running, oh yeah baby
To see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall,
All you have to do is call
And Ill be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Youve got a friend.

If the sky above you
Should turn dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head together and call my name out loud
And soon I will be knocking upon your door.
You just call out my name and you know where ever I am
Ill come running to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you got to do is call
And Ill be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Hey, aint it good to know that youve got a friend?
People can be so cold.
Theyll hurt you and desert you.
Well theyll take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but dont you let them.

You just call out my name and you know wherever I am
Ill come running to see you again.
Oh babe, dont you know that,
Winter spring summer or fall,
Hey now, all youve got to do is call.
Lord, Ill be there, yes I will.
Youve got a friend.
Youve got a friend.
Aint it good to know youve got a friend.
Aint it good to know youve got a friend.
Youve got a friend.

I simply googled them ... hehe that sounds kinky !!

I think they're googling themselves pretty good.

What about that Golden Girls song, thank you for being a friend? I remember that song from before they stuck it on a TV show. The guy who sang it is Andrew Gold. Damn I am old.

Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down the road and back again
Your heart is true your a pal and a confidant.
And if you through a party
Invited everyone you ever knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say thank you for being a friend.

:cool1: :cool1:

And if it was from me, the gift and card would both be from Target!! :thumbsup2

For the newer ladies, just jump into the thread! Sure there might be some "inside" jokes, but if you start chatting then you will have your own "inside" jokes!!!!

I know it is hard to jump into a long thread (and I am not sure I could do it), but I promise we are all nice!! Even if it's just 10 minutes a day, by November that will be a heck of a lot of minutes!!!

I personally think that by putting in a little bit of time on the thread and getting to know everyone the trip in November will be better!

Hmmm I knew you were a lot older than me :rolleyes1

You ladies seem like you are really getting things going for the 2007 trip.

I think I was the shyest person on this trip, lol. I was always bringing up the rear and hardly spoke at all. Every once in awhile I would say something funny and then go back into my shell till I could think of something else to say. :) Beth, Tammy and January were nice enough to let me tag along with them even though I wasn't exactly the life of the party. Thanks again.

It was also great to meet everyone even though we didn't see each other all the time, I think we all met up at least once. I was the grandma of the group and throughly enjoyed myself. I got to eat places I normally can't (dh is very pickey eater) and he doesn't care for PI. I loved the Adventurer's Club and want to see it again.

Thanks again to everyone that went and made my time at WDW so fun. Beth a special thanks to you for starting this wonderful event. And for you and Sarah getting me on Splash Mountain, I am such a wild woman now. :lmao: Kendra thanks for letting me ride with you, pretty brave on your part considering we had never met, but you made me feel like we had known each other for a long time.

Hi Shirley!!

OMG, it's so good to hear from you! We miss you!!

I had a great time with you on this trip and would love it if there was some way you could make it in November. We could go on Splash Mountain again, and again, and again. And on Expedition Everest, being the wild woman you are!! It would be the first time for us both!! :yay: :yay:

Keep in touch, and remember we'd love to see you again.
