I have a question or three about them-the unused ones can still be opened, traded moved and seen? And whoever owns it can change the message? And once you make a message, can the person who made it edit it?

The unused ones can be opened, traded, moved, and seen. So, yes

Whoever owns it, as long as it is unused, can change the message.

When you make a message, you CANNOT edit it.

When you put a message in it and save it, it is 'used'. Bc you can't
make your own message or delete it or anything. If you put it in a
room and take it back out, and it is unused, you can still change it because
it has not message in it still.

More than likely nobody has more than 1 because of how they were given out, so you can ask to see it on floor in room and open it .. .then do trade .. granted people may have had several mules in contest so they could have more than 1.

Yeah a lot of people used mules selfishly to take up space that good
rooms could have had just so they could get a participation prize..
