Blue cold fingers ***Raynauds***

I meet my DD at school today and she showed me her hands which were very cold and her fingers bluish/purplish. She has always been cold natured but this has happened one other time but quickly went away. I believe I read on the DIS last year about a condition that might be the cause of this but I can't remember the name. She is in great shape and very physically active. I've called the Dr and we're going in a couple of hours but I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this type of thing.

The name is Raynauds. I've read the symptoms and they sound exactly like what I've seen. She also had some "pimple" like blisters on her fingers that the Dr said was from dry skin. I now wonder. Hopefully we'll get some answers.

I have Raynauds. It's a pain, but nothing that gets in the way of living. I have to keep my hands warm, good gloves, but sometimes that doesn't work. After they go blue, the get white and it takes forever for the blood to get back to my fingertips. It's mostly annoying. I am affected more on warmer cold days, like in the upper 30s or 40s. If it's super cold, my hands don't seem to react as bad, I don't know why. I have never heard of any bad side effects. My mom has it too. She's now 66 and doesn't seem to be as bothered about it.

Went to the Dr and she believes it is Raynauds. She did a lot of blood work also which should be back tomorrow. They put DD in the coldest room in the place and by the time the Dr came her toes and fingers were purple. It looked like she had been playing with ink. Hopefully the bloodwork will come up ok. Thanks

I have it too I hate winters because of it. My fingers and toes hurt so bad when it's cold. Even rearranging things in the freezer makes my finger turn white and hurt
