I hate that they do this. But not that you’re not penalized by showing up with less guests than are on the reservation so just go that route

You can also book for 3 (that extra person gets you in!) and then amend it later.

Yes, I recommend this and have tried it myself, but for some reason it never ever lets me modify the number of people

We just ate there for lunch last Friday (first time ever!) and had to do the "book for 4" to be able to get the reservation. That morning I was able to modify the res and change the number of people to 2 just fine. Sounds like it wouldn't have mattered really, but it did let us change it.

I have been monitoring the reservations because we are planning to be there end of November. It shows no reservations available for any day no matter how many people I put in. Is there something wrong with the app? Is there another way to get reservations?

They go very quickly. Are you checking first thing in the morning? Although cancellations normally pop up throughout the day.

We are going end of November too and I got 2 reservations easily

Are you on right at the very very stroke of 0600 at PST?
You also want to try to book a dining reservations right before the 0600 mark so you get logged in and have facial recognition etc

I usually try a mock reservation but don’t go al the way through to secure it, to test that I’m indeed logged in and all…

Unfortunately, I was lulled into thinking something was wrong with the res system since It was wide open at Carthay (which I did get). I had started looking at the 60 day mark, but not early. Now, its well past the 60 day point and I can just keep scanning for crumbs!.

How is the walk up situation? Still reasonable? Would love to try for Sunday at 11 AM to see if it would work.

We had an 11am reservation over Labor Day weekend. We arrived about 10:45am, and there was already a line about 15 parties deep. We were not sure if they were walk ups or people like us with reservations, who needed to check in. It ended up being a mix of the two groups. They took down name, cell number and party size of about the first 5 walk up groups, then told all other walk ups that the list was full (not sure if they opened the list back up later). Then they let all of the reservations check in and started seating right at 11am. I did see a few of the walk up parties get seated, but they were not put waterside, as far as I could tell.
