Blue Bayou time advice

My family’s never been to Blue Bayou so we got reservations for the Fantasmic lunch package on Sunday, Feb 9 at 11:30.

It’s our first day in the park though and we have a lot going on, so we decided to switch to a later date. We booked the same package but Monday, Feb 17 at 11:40.

I was about to cancel the first but then started wondering if an 11:40 spot basically guarantees you won’t get a ride-side table. I figure they would give all those to the people there at opening. Having not been there I don’t even know if that makes a big difference to the magic.

Which one should I get rid of?

We had an 11-40am reservation (not fantasmic package) at Christmas and we got a waterside table without even asking. That was on Christmas Day last year.

You can always make a request when you check in, you may just have to wait. We were just lucky.

Just check in early, like you would have with the first reservation. Make the request for a waterside table. (But know that you might not get it -- and second row can still be good if the table is centered.)

We were one or two tables back from the water (I can't remember which now) and it was still magical. We could see the boats going by, but my favorite was seeing the cabin across the water.
