Blue Bayou Restraunt

Ack! I thought the first seating was 11:30! So, I made my PS for 11:30. Should I have made it for earlier if we are trying to get waterside seating? We are going to try BB for the first time this summer.

We would say that the BB is definately a must atleast once in your Disneyland experiences.
We love it!
It is in fact pricey, but like others have said you are paying for the ride experience plus the food is delicious. I had the filet mignon and my hubby had steak. They were both good. Plus the dessert was AMAZING!!!
it was a chocolate treasure chest with cookies. YUM!
Well worth the $ and a return trip. We went last year around the same time of your visit and we actually just walked up and got in without any reservations. Amazing for X-mas time. :)
I think your going at the perfect time, all the X-mas stuff will be on sale, Bonus!! :)
Have Fun!!

No 11:30 is the first seating, you will be fine. Just check in around 11:10-11:15 and ask for waterside seating, shouldn't be a problem. Enjoy!

...So I guess what i'm asking is, how far in advance to make sure we even get in the BB, is that possible to get the day before? Or is it just safe to get PS the 60 days in advance...?

Well, if you know when you are going to be there and that you want to eat there, why not pick up the phone as soon as possible and just book a slot?

Well i'll be there for the next six months doing the CP, so i'm sure i'll be eating there at least once, but not sure when excatly, but you're right, I should just call.
Thanks for the responses :)

I was just there 2 weeks ago and it was a disaster to be kind. First I made PS in advance with a CAST MEMBER. She took my first name and gave me the time and away I went. When I went to go to lunch there the waiter insisted I give him my last name to find the reservations. I explained that the Cm who made the resy never asked for my last name only my first. He basically said I mis remembered and I had to give my last name it was policy. He kept putting in my last name and could not find the resy. He was trying to send me away when another waiter came over to help and finally listened to me and used my first name and found my resy. OK so I finally get seated. My wife ordered the crab cakes for $33 and the first plate came frozen. I don't mean cold, I mean frozen. I sent that back so my wife was feeding my kids 5,4 and 18 months while she waited. My DD kept complaining that the grapes she got were funny. My wife took the candle on the center of the table and held it to the grapes and we saw the grapes were moldy. Again, not old, but had white mold growing on them. It was hard to see in the dinning room, but who ever put them on the plate to go to the table had to see white fuzzy mold all over all the grapes. I was furious and pointed it out to the waiter who smiled, picked up the plate and took it back. He brought back new grapes and left. He got my wifes crab cakes and returned 20 minutes with the check. He placed it on the table and walked away. FULL BILL. I paid over $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids meals for moldy grapes and frozen crab cakes.

Def not worth the money at all.

The decreased quality in the Blue Bayou seems to have happened recently. Service was excellent but there have been reports of bad service. If a CM is giving you lip or bad service then ask for a manager. People have bad days and some people may not be happy smiling people but if they are serving you well then give them the leniency as they may have a bad day.

I see the CMs on the bus and for some it can be an hour ride each way. CMs are people.

I will wait until Blue Bayou gets their kitchen back and in expanded.

How horrible! You wouldn't even expect Denny's to be that awful, let alone a place at DLR! I'm glad we changed our minds and went with Steakhouse 55 instead. I'm sure not everyone ended with such terrible food, but it just seems like I keep hearing not good things more and more. :sad2:
