Has anyone ever requested a waterside table at the Blue Bayou? How do you go about doing so? I am planning on getting my boyfriend and I a Fantasmic dinner package for our upcoming trip in May as this is his first time going to Disneyland and my first time at the Blue Bayou. I thought it would be really cool to sit by the water and see the pirate boats going past.

Be ready to wait up to an extra long to be seated. Like 30 mins to an hour extra. Unfortunately there is really nothing else you can do besides ask when you check-in.

Ok thanks so much. Maybe I will make an earlier reservation and request when I check in and kick around that area while we wait. Thanks! :)

Be sure to book your reservation right at the 60 day mark, if the schedule is open.
Also know there are two ways to make reservations for Blue Bayou.
The one you'll want is Fantasmic Dinner Package, it gets you a FP for the BB viewing area.

The other one is Blue Bayou Restaurant, no FP comes with this type of reservation.

While many ADR's can be made at the 60 day mark, sometimes the event related ones are slow to appear on the schedule.
If this happens you just have to keep checking.

For a Waterside table, people recommend arriving 30 minutes or so a head of your reservation and asking the CM at that time.
There is lots to see in the area while you wait.

Enjoy

You can get waterside dining for lunch easy enough, by booking the first seating at 11:30 a.m., but that doesn't help you since the F! packages start at 4 p.m.

When I did it I think I did a 4:30 reservation, asked for waterside, and they told me 45 minutes to an hour. However, it ended up only being 30 minutes.

The last two times we did this, we were quoted a 45 minute-an hour wait, but then it was under 20 minutes both times.

I think they quote a longer time to discourage people since obviously they need to seat the other tables, too... and I’m sure there are times that people linger a bit more and it really does take longer... but it’s worth it to sit waterside!

We always get a waterside table for dinner at BB. We usually just show up about 10-15 min before our reservation and make the request. The longest we have ever actually had to wait was about 35 minutes, but one time we got lucky and only waited about 5. I guess it depends how many people in front of you are also waiting for a waterside table.
