Does anyone know if they can serve french fries at lunch? Its not on the menu- My son loves Pirates- was thinking of taking him to lunch here on his BD next month.... looked at the menu for him- nothing but the cake would intrest him- so I was going to take him to Daisy's for pep pizza- but feel odd bringing that into thisnice rest- but want him to have the atmosphere ....so was thinking maybe some fries while we pigged out LOL.... anybody know?

yes and thanks for the quick response ... been searching the Allears menu all day -of all 5 of my kids this one happens to be the picky eater LOL. just kinda wanted to spoil him on his BD... if you know what I mean... he loves Salami and pep pizza and corn... ugh right? worst things for a kid to eat... but was thinking what the heck it is his birthday... I did see that Ariels had a anti pasta platter of fruit and salami listed- but heck - take a boy to see princess on his birthday? I don't know....LOL. He does love that Pirates ride though- wanted to just sit and relax by the water and enjoy some good eats. he prolly wouldn't eat much as he never does anyways- but didnt want it to appear we was eating and letting him starve to death good grief! i know if we was lucky enough to get the table right on the water that he would be so lost in heaven as to what to think of all the boats and the music and atmosphere... I would love to do this for him for his BD... will prolly just order a kids meal for the appearance and take it to go LOL!

That is a good thought, about ordering a child's meal to go for appearance sakes. And your son could eat something that he does like at the Blue Bayou, while enjoying the pirates.
I don't know how old your son is, but do you think that he might like the pommes frites at Café Orleans? I love them, they are delicious. They are served with a wonderful remoulade, which is served separately. I suggest giving that dish a try, take a nibble, then have it boxed up to go. Then when the timing is right your son can nosh on them while everyone else is partaking in the Bayous dishes. Also, at the Blue Bayou, if it is your birthday, normally one will receive a nice dessert on the house. Just make mention of the birthday at the time that you make the reservation/P.S. for it will be noted. Also it does not hurt to mention it at dessert time too.
Don't forget to ask for the birthday button for your son, and he may also receive a phone call from Goofy, at City Hall.
Have an awesome time at the land and Happy Birthday to your son.

~~ I love you Phil and you will forever be with me! Forever my very best and most special friend! I love you to no end. ~~

Troubador Tavern in Fantasyland has big ears of hot buttered corn on the cob..For the price,I was really dissapointed in the kids menu at BB. I also feel like that the feel of being immersed in pirates is minimal unless you end up right next to the water, and even that for a young kid gets boring after a few minutes. I think I would be more tempted to get him something he would eat, and sneak it onto the pirates ride and eat it while your going through the ride, lol. You also could find out whenthe pirate singers in NOS are singing and tell them it is his birthday, maybe they will sing him happy birthday. Have your ridden the Columbia Pirate ship wiht him yet?

How old will he be? Will he share something with you from the adult menu? If so don't order him anything and just get an extra plate, then you can give him some of your meal. My DD15 really likes the Tesoro Island Chicken (as do I) at BB, she and I have shared that, I eat the salad (or gumbo) and she and I split the potatoes and meat, I usually eat the green veggie they bring on the plate (usually broccolini). We haven't been impressed with the dessert offerings at BB but they've brought us ice cream for birthdays when we've eaten there, you have to make sure your server knows you're celebrating a birthday. :)

In fact, if I am able to take DD15 to DLR for her 16th bday in July, we will go eat at BB (or AG if she prefers) and share our meal. :)

IDK but maybe call them and see what they can do. I heard they share a kitchen with CO which does have fries so maybe they can do something. Of course ask for the fries plain.
