Blue bayou menu change (again) but for the better!

People are talking about the Monte Cristo, but it's not on the menu. Is this a hidden item or something?
It's only on the lunch menu. Look above on the lunch entrees.

Rats! I was just looking at the dinner menu since that's when we're going. I hope it's on the Fantasmic menu. That's the one we'll actually be using. Thanks!
When are you going? I can pop in on a future visit and ask to see the Fantasmic menu. This last visit was chaos with my In-laws and 3 year old nephew… I was a bit distracted! 🤪

Not sure about the cheese only, doubt it as it’s a different sandwich altogether, but they will let adults or teens order an adult sized portion of a kids menu item (so not the kids price.) but if you have a picky eater that will only eat spaghetti it is handy.
Thanks! Good to know. The roast chicken on the kids menu sounds good, and you're right about spaghetti.

Well, rats. Even more fish/shellfish options on this new menu. Now my options are down to the vegetarian entree or Monte Cristo at lunch and the filet mignon at dinner. They even took away the yummy salad I had as my entree last summer. Ugh.

Even the roast chicken comes with shrimp. I used to order the Tesoro Island chicken back in the day. The chef would come talk to me about my allergy and I felt safe eating at least for that one meal that day.

This new menu bums me out.

They were *very* accommodating to my BIL with his food intolerance. Offered to have a chef come out as well. I am sure they could do the chicken no shrimp for you.

I’m sure they would do it without the shrimp but it would likely be a half sized entree at the same price as the shrimp and chicken combo. This is Disney after all.

I wonder if there's a way to contact the restaurant ahead of time? Probably not, but it might be worth a try in light of your allergy issues.

Yay!! That is pretty much what the menu was when I was there Jan 24. I had the fish and it was scrumptious! It was pan fried, which I love. I'd never heard of that fish but it was mild, firm, and excellent. The fried rice was good, even though I didn't think I'd like it (not a fan of garlic and spinach). It was mild on the garlic and was basically a rice dish with the charred pineapple sauce. The rice didn't seem fried at all (which was too bad), but it was good.

I was tempted to order the filet but I didn't. It's usually my favorite and I hope this means that it's also back at Club 33.

My grandson got the kids steak meal and it was surprisingly great! He loved it. It was tender and tasty, not fatty.

Daughter got the Mushroom Ragu thing. She said it was good but I don't think she was that wowed by it. I don't think there were many vegetarian options.

We ordered the creme brulee and the Basque cheesecake with berries. OMG, that Basque cheesecake was amazing!! It's hard to explain it, but it's less smooth and puddingish and more solid in a way. It was fantastic.

So, so happy that things are beginning to show definite improvements! It would be a shame to let the fine dining restaurants continue into the downward spiral we've been seeing. I'm hearing positive experiences lately.

Thank you for sharing yours!!
I often order fish out because wherever I’m getting from often does to better than I could at home! My husband never does! We recently went to a local steak focused restaurant locally here and my husband widened his usual selection and got the buttermilk fried trout!

Now I want that Basque cheesecake!
