I'm trying to put together and make dining reservation should we do dinner or lunch at Blue Bayou or do Ralph jazz kitchen this will be for 6 adults we are doing Napa rose one night for sure.

I agree--BB! I like to go there for lunch because I like the Monte Cristo and it isn't served at dinner.

I like lunch just because it's pretty much the same portions for a cheaper price. Also, they are big enough to share too if you want to get more for your money. My wife and i always split our lunch, then share a cookie boat for dessert!

I like lunch because of the contrast between night and day. It is so neat to come in from the bright day in the park and enter a quiet peaceful night with crickets- instantly. :cloud9:

I totally agree...this is just an opinion but in my past experiences Im not too thrilled with jazz kitchen...I went the last time on the girls only trip in April and the drinks were the best part of it...the ambiance is nice but the food leaves little to be desired

Blue Bayou gets mixed reviews for food and for service. It's expensive, and the food can be great, or sometimes nothing to write home about. But the ambiance is so cool! And it's a DL classic.

You might try for early lunch PSs-- make it at 11:30, which is the first seating. If you get there at 11:15 and ask for waterside seating, you're likely to get it-- and that's really a cool view!

Ralph Brennan's gets great reviews for food and atmosphere! But you're already going to Napa Rose for a very wonderful dinner. So if it's a choice between the two, I guess I would suggest the Blue Bayou for that "inside the resort" experience. :thumbsup2

BB for lunch! Its almost a tradition when we go as a family.
Dh and I also split the Monte Cristo. And if you get a waterside table, dont forget to wave to the boaters!

If you are looking for the Monte Cristo Sandwich - it is only offered at Lunch at the Blue Bayou!!

I'll second that. A BB lunch (including the Monte Cristo sandwich!) and a GK character breakfast are now part of our DL ritual.

We do the last lunch seating which is around 3:30. By the time we are out of there it's 5:00 and we just grab a snack/ dessert around 8:00 to tied us over. That way, we get the cheaper price, Monte Cristo and the cool efect of going from the bright light to cool bayou.

Ditto these guys!! Plus, then that night, you can have a light dinner somewhere for less money.:thumbsup2
