I want to take my sister to Blue bayou for our sister trip in January. It says no available reservations, but if I switch it to three people, suddenly reservations all day. Does anyone know , how to get just two. Do I call the restaurant, Disneyland help line, or just reserve for three and hope they just accept the two.

I had to do that this year for a few reservations. They won't show you availability for 2, but change it to 3 and voila! Just book for 3 and I think you can later amend it on the app. I've heard there is a $10 pp charge for no-shows but I don't know if that includes 1 member in a reserved party that didn't show up. I don't feel bad doing this because they are automatically excluding parties of 2 in hopes of filling more tables.

Book for 3. Disney has seemingly decided that groups of less than 3 shouldn’t get premium dining. As of now there is no penalty for the third person not showing up.

Thanks for the help. My sister has Downs, saw the restaurant when we went on pirates last time, and had asked to go this time. I have trouble saying no to her at Disney, 😂.
Can we ever say no to those we love. My adult autistic daughter wants to meet as many princesses as possible so I am forking out the big bucks so we can all go to the Princess Brunch at Napa Rose to celebrate her birthday. I have saved my extra pennies all year and I know she is going to absolutely love it. My adult autistic son has agreed to come too and has been designated the official photographer which will make him feel less conspicuous amongst the princesses though deep down inside I know he loves it too. I like the set up here where you go out onto the terrace for the meet & greet and photo ops as it makes it a little more intimate with each princess. Hope you guys have a great time and enjoy your experience.

You enjoy your meal also.

Our family of 5 will be taking a VIP tour at Disneyland on June 9. We want to include dinner at Blue Bayou. When I made the VIP reservation, they suggested I reserve the dinner even though I asked that it be included at the end of our tour. Should I set the alarm to get up at 12:01 a.m. tomorrow to make the reservation before they are booked? If the VIP tour guide also makes a reservation will that complicate things? I have read on this board that the VIP guides don't always follow through on dinner reservations and we don't want to miss out. If I reserve for 5:30 will there be enough time to get to the parade reserved seating before the parade starts?

What time is reserved seating?

Dinning Reservations open at 6am Pacific (Disneyland) Time. If you want to guarantee that you get to dine at Blue Bayou, I would get up and make the reservation before hand. I would then confirm whether or not they made a reservation as well. If they did you can cancel the reservation you made or have them cancel the one they made, depending on which time you like better.

Exactly!! I agree.

MAKE YOUR OWN reservation!!! We trusted VIP to get us a BB reservation 2 years ago, and they assured me that they would get it. I was wanting to do the same thing that you are doing; eat dinner at BB and then do the VIP fireworks. They did not make the reservation, and when I called later that day, they said they just “could not get the reservation”. They offered us some other reservation, which was terrible. So I agree with others that you absolutely need to be on your phone at exactly 6am PST 60 days out, and book your own reservation. If VIP services also books you one, you can cancel one or the other. I am not sure on the timing that would best work with fireworks at the time of your trip. Pixie dust to you and have a magical trip!!
