Blue Bayou....how much would it be for two?

Are advance reservations hard to come by? How does one get them? How much is their famous Monte Cristo and is it REALLY that good? I know that the cost of the meal depends upon what you get but just give me a ballpark figure. I don't really want to spend a fortune on one meal so maybe I ought to stick the the corn dog at the red cart.... ha ha ha!

If you go to allearsnet.com, click on Disneyland, then click on DLR dining, it will give you the menus at most of the restaurants, along with prices. The Blue Bayou prices look like they were lasted updated on 09/06, so should be pretty current.

If you're feeling skeptical I would recommend just getting a corn dog. My DH and I went for dinner and loved it. My meal was $24.99 and DH's meal was 26.99 and then we got the creme brulee for dessert which was 7.99 so you can add that up, that was what it came to. We loved it but we wanted a nice meal with a romantic atmosphere and that was what we got. If you just want a quick lunch with good food but cheaper prices check out the food thread for some other ideas.

Isn't the Monte Cristo sold somewhere else now too? I forget the name of the place --- in Frontierland/NOS, is now a sit-down restaurant.......

Yep, you can get the Monte Cristo at Cafe Orleans (just across from the Blue Bayou). Their version is $14.99 and comes with a few strawberries and some grapes. I think the $18.99 is a better value because you get the atmosphere, the fresh rolls, the soup/salad, and two sides.

We just went and I got the Monte Cristo. I'd describe it as a very very delicious (and greasy) meat and cheese donut. Yum. In any case, it was way more than I could eat, what with the millions of side dishes (even for lunch). I'd suggest splitting it with someone. Or have one person just order a salad and then just split both.
