Blue Bayou food question

I know the blue bayou has had good and bad reviews but I think I want to take my 10 year old grandson there for lunch. There lunch menu looks heavy on meat and he is a vegetarian. They do have a portabella sandwich thing which my daughter says is quite good, but he is 10 and loves mac and cheese or simple pasta. I don't see that anywhere on the menu. Should I forget it and take him to Plaza Inn instead?

They have pasta on the child's menu which he can eat from. Here is the kid's menu:

I'm a vegetarian too and have eaten at BB. I recommend it, particularly if you can get a table by the water. I had a portobello meal with rice pasta. Very nice. You can also call Disney Dining about a week in advance to make special requests.

They have Tink and Buzz now instead on the light up toys.
Cafe Orleans has some nice fries and French Market has veg and fruit salads.
