In august we'll be back for our 2nd dvc stay. The only complaint we had about blt was the painful seams on the water slide. Can anyone comment on if they have been improved?

Gee you would think these days they would have that figured out. BWV clown slide has always been brutal as well-thats been what...15 years?

I have been in the pool all week, no one I talked to complainted at all about the slide being painful! I watched them adjust the water yesterday.

Same here, was there 9 nights, and myself, DW, DD 5 and DS 6 all rode with no problems. Heard no complaints as well????:cool1:

The slide at Old Key West is absolutely the smoothest on property. The roughest slide is at Boardwalk Villas followed by Bay Lake Tower.

We just got back a week ago. Yes, you feel the seams as you go over them. Did we complain? No. It wasn't worth it.

The seams on the BCV slide hurt so much, my daughter wouldn't go on it again after her second time. I went a third time, but they did hurt. We are thin, so our vertabrae just have skin cover, no padding.:rotfl:

I would never think to complain to someone about it.

And here I thought it was just me. I much preferred walking over to the main Contemporary pool for water sliding.

So funny you posted this, because my sister had marks on her back from that slide! We were just there beginning of June. If you follow the posted sign and go down on your back, you DO feel the seams, and it feels like you are being snapped by a big rubberband every few seconds. She was all red on her back from it and wouldn't go down it again because of it. The kids didn't notice it at all because they all went down sitting up.

The other thing that needs fixing is the light at the top that should turn green to tell the next swimmer when to go stayed red permanently. I was surprised that a safety issue wouldn't be fixed immediately at a pool.

I'm glad you reminded me to let DVC know.

I was there June 3-6 and the light was working. I also agree that if you go on your back, the seams do hurt, most people I've seen sliding have been sitting up.

Our family just returned yesterday.

Our boys did say that the slide hurt when they went down on their backs. I went down upright and it was fine.

After the first ride down, everyone went down sitting up.
