I have seen many pictures now of our new home, BLT!! I was wondering if the walkway was going to be enclosed?? Then today I saw pictures of the top of the walkway, and it looks like the top is open as well. I would think that it should be covered, enclosed for all us owners that need to walk back and forth to shop and get food during any rainy and stormy times!!

it will be enclosed - this does not open until Aug - this is only March. so they have lots of time.;) :thumbsup2

well it was surpose to be moving.

Really? I don't recall seeing or hearing that before. It would be cool if it was!

In fact, I thought I read it was "covered"; I don't even recall seeing 'enclosed', but I do think that completely enclosed would be a lot better; wind can make rain blow sideways!!!

I will settle for covered though; once I get to a monorail station @ MK or EPCOT I'm out of the rain. Same thing from a bus stop too I think; once you are under cover at the park end you should stay dry. :goodvibes

That was actually a contributing factor to buying in @ BLT! Having stayed @ values in the past a long walk in bad weather is NOT a fun thing!!! :headache:

the plans have it moving - that might be the problem - as to why no roof yet.

I'm glad to hear that it will be covered, and hopefully enclosed!!! It makes sense to me to have it that way!

We just took the BLT tour last week & my guide said he's clocked it from the front gates of MK to the BLT. It was a 10 minute walk. Not to shabby.

If it's moving, which direction would it be moving in? It doesn't seem wide enough for two moving walkways (one in each direction). I doubt if it's moving, but I would be surprised if it wasn't covered. Otherwise, it would have to close down whenever there was a lightning storm in the area.

It's also curved, so each section would have to have it's own moving walkway in each direction. In addition to that, there would have to be space to NOT use a moving walkway for people on crutches, in wheelchairs, etc.

I agree...doesn't seem possible. ;)

I wonder about enclosing it. In hurricane winds that would be very bad. thats why they don't enclose regular bridges the wind tears them apart. But if anyone could do it.It would be Disney. It's the magic you know.
