BLT transportation question

We will be staying at BLT for first time coming up and for the first time not renting a car. Does BLT/Contemporary have it's own bus stop? (Probably a crazy question but I can't visualize where it would be and I know we could just either walk to MK bus stop or take monorail to TTC).

Thanks!

You can catch the buses to the parks right outside the Contemporary, in between the two resorts.

You can not miss it. I believe CR/BLT share bus service with some of the other monorail resorts.

We have never used the buses as we always have a car too.

Thanks for the info. We decided to not rent a car this time to save some money and we figured BLT would be the best resort to be at without a car as there is so much transportation available. We'll see how it goes!

Good call!

BLT is definitely the best resort for transportation:

Walking Distance to the MK.
Monorail to Epcot.
Monorail to the other monorail resorts for their dining options
Awesome boat service to Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge for their dining and amenities.
You can walk to the MK bus stops and grab any bus for any other resort for their dining options and amenities.
Bus service is shared with the Poly and the GF for Downtown Disney, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

You really can't be more central...

I disagree on that too. Sharing buses with both the Polynesian and GF adds lots of time to the bus commute to parks. Contemporary is usually the first stop. That's nice for the return trip, but if you are in a hurry to get to a park you are going to get frustrated.

Also, the boat service is not quick. If you are going between Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary you have to be lucky enough to catch the direct boat when it pulls up. If you don't, you either have to go via Fort Wilderness or wait at least 20 minutes for the direct boat to return.

I think the best resort for transportation is the Polynesian, as it is the middle stop on the buses, and you have the option of walking to TTC for the monorail to Epcot.

Can someone tell me what buses stop at BLT/CR, Poly and GF?
We have stayed at BLT twice and have yet to be on a bus that has stopped at GF.
We've ridden the BLT/CR bus to AK and DHS. These only stopped at BLT/CR and Poly.
The only other bus from BLT/CR is to DtD, does that one stop at GF?

I stayed at BLT in September. All buses to AK and DHS stopped at both Polynesian and GF. I did not go to DTD but I imagine it did the same thing.

Could also be a function of timing. I am never on the park opening or closing buses.

Just to clarify, BLT does not have any buses, it's uses the CR buses.

CR always, unless circumstances requires it, shares a bus with another resort, usually it's, but not always, the Poly. It depend on the destination, where it originates, and time of day.

We have stayed at BLT twice and have yet to be on a bus that has stopped at GF.
The standard route for the HS bus includes the CR, Poly, & the GF, (Aka, COPOFLO). It's bus stop #12 at HS. All bets are off in the AM and PM though.

The only other bus from CR is to DtD, does that one stop at GF?
Not usually, but anything is possible.

If you try to figure out the bus system, you'll hurt yourself.
