BLT / TOTW Lounge - How Early

For those who have experienced the Top of the World Lounge for the fireworks, how early would you recommend arriving? We're staying the last week of August so slightly off-season and would like to experience it one evening. Thanks!

I was there on July 8 (this was a Sunday night). I had just come from Epcot and didn't arrive at BLT until 7 minutes before the start of Wishes. Had no problems getting a spot right at the wall to see. I don't know if I would recommend for everyone to wait that long and I don't think it matters where at the wall you stand.

The availability can vary but for the most part, I think you would have no problem coming within the last 30 minutes or so. We generally have a snack when we go so get there an hour or so early and it has never been terribly crowded either when we arrived or for Wishes.

We were just there in April, and got there about 20 minutes before fireworks started and had no problem finding a spot - I'm sure it varies tho depending on your travel dates, but we were very happy with our spot, and even got to sit on a bench! Have a great trip!

We're doing our first (1 nt only) trip to BLT in August; have used extra pts for Park View. Will we have a good enough view of Wishes from our balcony or should we plan to go to TOTW? Do you have to order food if you go to TOTW?

Do you have to be staying at BLT to go to TOTW, especially if you want to eat (e.g., could we go one of the nights we're staying at WLV)?
