Is this the best/fastest way to get from BLT to Sanaa using Disney transportation...(Not interested in uber, cab, etc.) walk to MK, hop on a bus to AKL?

TIA :)

I think that's fastest way, but fast is relative. Disney advises allowing 1.5hrs for transportation.

Why is Uber/cab not an option? You'll get there much more quickly.

Because it's extra money :) Disney transportation isn't an additional cost.

Thank you for your response! We do plan to give ourselves extra time to get there.

You probably already know this, but just in case, make sure you get off the bus at Kidani Village and not Jambo House for Sanaa. I've stayed at both, and every single bus ride someone gets off at the wrong one. There's a shuttle you can take between the two that picks up right in front of each building in case you want to visit Jambo House, too.

Buses from MK to AKL are usually pretty full in my experience, and the ride takes about 20 min. I've been on many standing room only busses to and from MK from AKL - just make sure you're prepared and give yourself plenty of time.

Have fun and enjoy! Sanaa is one of my very favorite restaurants on property.

+1 for walk to MK and bus to AKL. We've done it before (with strollers, no less) and it's fine.

Actually, I didn't know that! So thank you very much for the tip. :) I'd be the one to get off at the wrong stop lol

I've never been to Sanaa but I've heard such great things and is the meal I'm looking forward to most!

I like the idea of taking the bus to AK and then transferring to an AKL bus. You'll have to go through security if you walk to the Magic Kingdom, and it's not a short walk. I bet the duration would be comparable, but with less effort.

"Six of one; half-dozen of the other," is an expression that seems to come to mind.

We stay at BLT and I prefer the option you've mentioned - walking to buses at MK and then waiting for the bus to AKLodge.

Yes, you go through a very short security check-point along the path towards MK, but you only wait for one bus.

The other option mentioned - taking a bus from BLT to AK, then an additional bus to AKLodge - means you are waiting for two buses.

Weather permitting, I'd rather walk to MK than have an additional wait-time for an additional bus.

I didn't think about security - good point. But the walk is short, in my opinion! I'd rather walk than be on a bus twice :) Just personal preference. The weather will also make a difference though so it's good to know I have a couple options.

Lol.. I replied to another person basically saying the same thing as you've said. I obviously agree. :)

Either option works. The walk from BLT to MK is short and a nice walk. You do have security to walk through, but its usually not too bad. We also don't mind walking.
If you get off on the wrong stop at AKL, the walk from Jambo to Kadani is not bad, or there is a shuttle you can take. Again a wait at times.
Taking a bus from BLT to AK and then AK to AKL, will work, but you will probably waste more time waiting for the 2 buses than waiting for security. Later in the day, the buses don't run as frequently.

I guess it depends on your definition of “short.” It’s a little over half a mile from BLT to the AKL bus stop at Magic Kingdom.

Walk to MK bus to AKL. The security on the path is very short and the walk is not too bad imo. Waiting for two buses would be longer. The only instance I would do a bus to AK and then another bus to AKL is if it is too hot, raining or someone can't walk to MK.

It didn't seem that long, the times that we've walked it. But I would consider 1/2 mile a short walk.
