Would someone be able to tell me where exactly the horse stables are in relation to the boat dock at Fort Wilderness? I would like to take my 2 year old daughter for a pony ride.

We are staying at BLT in a few weeks and I know I can take a boat ride to Fort Wilderness. How do I get to the stables from the dock? Is it walkable? I understand Fort Wilderness has internal busses. Is it possible to grab a bus from the dock to the stables?

Thanks for any help!

No bus needed. The pony rides are in the Settlment area, which is were the boat drops you off. As you leave the beach area stay to the right and after you pass Pioneer Hall (Trails End/HDDR) it is on your right.

Yep, the kids pony rides are a very short walk from the boat dock at the North end of Fort Wilderness (that they call the "Settlement Depot"). There are also horse barns there where you can see Disney horses and maybe even see a blacksmith doing some horseshoeing.

For the adult trail rides on full size horses, they leave from the South end of Fort Wilderness by the "Outpost Depot". It is just over a mile from the boat dock, but all of the internal bus routes run between the two ends of FW.
