Quick question! We are booked in a Theme Park View Studio at BLT in July. Where should I request if I want a great view of the park? I know from reading previous posts that some of the rooms DVC considers Theme Park View are not so much...

Thanks!!!!
J

Just request high floor and hope you get it.

Not to pop your bubble but IMO the view isn't that great so I want you to be prepared. You can see the top of space mountain, some back lot areas, and in the distance the top of the castle. The view of the monorail and fireworks is great but that's about it. Everything else is pretty much obscured from view.

The higher the floor the better.

the are changing some Theme park views to standard views for this reason.

so hoping most of the views on the lower floors are now standard and not TP.

ask for higher than 7th floor.

even on the 7th floor the monrail is still a problem. Now if someone in your party loves the monrail - then ask for 6th or 7th floor.

hope you have a great time!

If you search Google for Bay Lake Tower Theme Park View images, you will get an idea of what to request and expect.

Keep in mind that most of the pictures were taken with a telephoto lens so the park looks closer than it really is.

I just changed our trip from Jun 24-Jul 8 to Aug 19-Sept 3. For the first week we are in a Savannah View Studio at AKV Kidani Week two is at BLT in a Lake View Studio (its all they had). We have stayed at AKV several times before but this is our first stay at BLT. Can't wait to try it out! I will request he higher floor as suggested. Thanks all!

we had a 9th floor studio room number ended in 18 and it was beyond fantastic! I'm sure floors 3-5 or 6 would be dissapointing, but I really think 7 and up are great.

Also, the photos don't do the view justice. Photos that are not zoomed tend to make everything look much farther away than it really is. We could see the entire MK from our room and loved every minute of it.

We stayed at BLT with a them park view over Christmas. It was our first trip to our 'new home'. We requested a room on the upper floors. We ended up on the 7th floor. We love it! The kids and I would leave our curtains open at night, so we could lay in bed and look at the lights on the castle! :)

For a studio I'd ask for a high floor and a room ending in 18. Those studios give you the best view of the castle.

6th floor.....we felt the MK view points were well worth it---especially at night when all is lit up. It's not just the Castle...it's the monorail zipping back and forth to the Contemporary....the sounds of the Ferry horns in the distance....you can hear the Railroad horn. Feel very immersed in the MK happenings. Just cool. But this is just my humble opinion. :goodvibes
This first photo is with a zoom lens.........
