BLT ...The Kichen Sink

Since everything else has been answered about BLT, I thought I should throw in a question about the kitchen sink. :rotfl:

My question is... Dose anyone know if it is a standard faucet where the sprayer screws off? We tend to drink alot of Ice Tea and Crystal Light, but the thought of getting water straight from the tap kind of grosses me out (especially in FL). I know I can have H2O delivered, but I'm trying to avoid that expense. Anyway, my thought is to get one of those screw-on H20 filters to attach to the kitchen faucet. Then, when we are done we'll just chuck the filter and slip the filter holder (the screw-on part) into our carry-on. Can anyone tell me if the faucet sprayer can be un-screwed?

Just purchase one of those Britta pitchers. They do the same thing.

I drink the tap water all the time and haven't suffered from it at all.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I know about the pitchers (we use one at home). The problem is that I am hoping to reuse it and the pitcher is a little large to slip into my carry-on.

op how has this worked out for you at other DVC resorts - unscrewing sprayer, etc. ? I've read posts about what Deb suggested, Brita pitcher, but can't say I recall faucet filters.

:)

I actually haven't tried it at any DVC. We are new to DVC and have not stayed in a 1 BR before. Sorry, I was asking specifically about BLT, but if anyone has any info. about other DVC resorts, that would be helpful as well.

We have used a filtered sports bottels before, but it is a bit of a pain to "squeeze" it through.

I think I would just buy a couple of gallon jugs of water from the store at Disney and forget the filter. At AKV I think it was $1.99 a gallon. Each store is priced differently but I would think it would be in the $1.99-2.99 range. I do have a smaller Brita filter that does about a pint at a time and packs easily but have just purchased the gallon size waters the last few times we went.

castleri, thanks for the info. I had not seen anything about gallon jugs at the store at the resort. I've seen alot of posts about having H2O delivered, but the added cost for having a package delivered to the resort makes it not worth it. Especially since we are already shipping a box of food down.

We have the Brita faucet filter and we use it at OKW all the time. Unfortunately, we couldn't use it at AKV because the faucet was not the type with a screw off screen.

just returned from BLT and BWV - both had the gallon sized Zypherhills water at their stores.:)
