I have read a lot of negative comments about the BLT studios we have stayed in both BC and BW studios. Can anyone tell me what the difference between these and BLT studios is?

BLT studios are arranged such that the bathroom sink is right across from the kitchenette area.

also, the bathroom has a non-lockable sliding door.

BLT studios are also a little smaller than the other DVC studios.

i stayed in one in november and really liked it regardless. YMMV.

I stayed in both BWV and BLT this summer. As others have said, the BWV studio is a bit larger than BLT.

And, because of the weird set up for the kitchenette and vanity, some people don't like it.

We didn't find it such a big deal. There was no one in our group that used a hair dryer, etc. and we only used the kitchenette for storing things in the fridge so it was not that big of a deal.

We have 4 people and it was a little tight. It was only for 2 nights so we managed, but I don't think I would have done it for an extended period of time.

But, BLT remains my favorite DVC resort because of it's location to MK, our favorite park.

BLT's studios are about 3 feet smaller than BCV and BWV's studios. Here's the square footage for all of the WDW studios.

BLT falls behind everyone (except a Value Studio at Jambo) in comparing Studio villas. Once again OKW’s Studios are the largest.

AKV Kidani - 366
Jambo - 365 (316 for Value Studio)
BCV - 365
BLT - 329
BWV - 359
OKW - 390
SSR - 344
VWL - 356

The studios for BLT have a separate room that contains the bathroom vanity and kitchenette (no door). Whereas the BCV and BWV the vanity is located in alcove near the bathroom and the kitchenette is across the main hallway. Sure they are all three "across the hall of each other", but BLT's hallway is only a few feet whereas the other two are separated by six feet (perhaps more).

Here is a link to Allears.net showing a photo of the bathroom/kitchenette. You can see the kitchenette in the vanity's mirror.

The queen bed and the double sleeper sofa are pretty much wedged in against each other. They took the length from the room and put it in the bathroom of all things (without a bathroom sink). The distance between the bathroom sink and the kitchen sink is about 2.5 to 3 feet.

The BLT studio would be okay for two adults, but not really a family.
