I’m thinking about staying at BLT for my next solo trip. Does anyone know if there is enough room in a studio there for my scooter? I know the rooms there are on the small side.

Thank you!

It might be tight, but since it's only 1 person you should be fine. You can always leave it in the hall, there are plenty of AC outlets to charge it .

Sometimes, I have seen people park their scooters outside their room, in their hallway, by the door, to charge them overnight. I don’t really know what the BLT policy is on this. And I have also seen people do the same thing at Polynesian, and also seen them park them in the lobby/entrance area for their particular building at Poly.

Perhaps you should call the front desk at BLT or Contemporary, and ask them about their policies on this.

Seems like the DVC resort policy it to leave it outside your room. We saw them outside in the hall and plugged in at Poly and BC when we returned at night. It might be to avoid damaging furniture or things inside the rooms.

The BLT declaration on mentions this:
Hallways, Bicycles, garbage cans, laundry, dry cleaning, supplies or other articles shall not be placed in the halls or on staircase landings.

However, members and their guests frequently leave ECVs in the hallways and it doesn't appear DVC is asking that the ECV be moved into the villa. If you want to be safe I would email DVC member satisfaction at dvcmembersatisfactionteam@disneyvacationclub.com to see if it is allowed.

To me as long as the ECV does not prevent passage of cleaning carts and other ECVs and wheel chairs it should be permitted unless it violates Fire Code or is deemed to be unsafe.

It basically would violate the fire codes since it does impede evacuation in an emergency.

My mom uses an electric scooter at Disney and a few times we have stayed in a studio at BLT and she always parks her scooter inside the room. We have stayed in a few studios in DVC and she always parks them in our room.

I’m so glad to see that it doesn’t fit inside the room. I’d be so afraid leaving it in the hall that someone would OKW along, maybe play with it, sit on it, or somehow damage it. The only time I left it in the hall was when I had the last room in the hall and then just for a few hours during the day; never overnight.
