Does anyone know if the odd numbered studios (inside the C) are any different in size or configuration from the even numbered studios (outside the C). We have a LV studio booked and I am fine with either view, but I might make a request if the room size and or configuration was different. Calling all experts!
If you look at the BLT configuration thread, there is a floor and phase plan of the units on a typical floor. (
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2212548) It looks to me as though units on the inside of the C, for the most part, are squared off, with the walls at right angles to each other. On the outer side of the C, however, to deal with the curviture of the C, they have to make the living room area of the 1 and 2BR units such that one wall that is adjacent to the corridor is shorter than the wall that is on the outside of the C (where the windows are). In other words, the living rooms on the outer part aren't perfectly rectangular -- one of the angles from the corridor to the window in the linving room area is slightly obtuse.
You'll also notice if you look at a picture of the inside of the tower, the north and south sides are perfectly square. The inside of the center section is rounded, but the rooms stay pretty square to the window and they compensate for the curvature with the balconies.
In any event, to answer the question, I think the effect on studios will be minimal. The compensation for the curve in the outer sections is made in the living room, so it wouldn't matter for a studio. I think you probably get slightly less square footage in the 1 and 2 BRs on the outer section, but not the studios. The only effect there might be is that some studios in the inner part of the C might have a tiny amount less, or more, room on the balcony, depending on which side of the C it is.
