BLT Standard Dedicated 2Q Bedroom at 11 Month

I will be booking as a BLT owner for the 1st time at the 11 month window for a 10/8/16 - 10/15/16 trip. (Yea!) I need a 2 BR and studio for our group trip. Will I have trouble booking a dedicated standard view 2 BR at BLT exactly at 11 months out? I can be flexible on the studio view but I need the standard 2BR due to the number of points i am able to use. I am getting nervous because it appears to be a busy DVC time due to the Columbus day holiday.

I am a BLT owner. I always plan/budget for a Lake View & count myself lucky if I can get the Standard.

October (because of MNSSHP) & early December (because everything DVC is complicated in early Dec) can be particularly challenging.

Hope for the best & plan for the "worst". You should have no prob getting the res at 11 mos. but the view may be the issue.

All standards (all room sizes including even 1BRs) were gone for the Columbus Day weekend in 2015 by early morning, 11 months out from the Friday before Columbus Day. You may want to consider walking those reservations to avoid being blocked out.

A limited number of rooms and the lower point cost makes booking a standard view more difficult.

I've been a member @ BLT since 2009 and have stayed there in a 2BR STD view on all four of our BLT trips. All 4 trips were in October or November and all started on a Friday. I booked them exactly when the call center/online booking became available. Since you are arriving on a Saturday of a long holiday weekend i would consider walking the reservation too (as much as i dislike the whole walking process).

For those trips that i have booked in the past, if i had waited a couple of hours, I would not have been able to get into the standard view. So make sure you are online at the exact time your booking window opens!!!

In my opinion those standard view rates are some of the better "values" in the DVC system.

Thanks for your replies. Sounds like I am going to need to walk the reservation. Do you think the dedicated standard 2BR or studio will book up first so I know which one to boook first online. 8 am EST, right?

The studio will book up first most of the time.

I did NOT need to walk a BLT standard 2-bedroom for July 4th. I think walking is unnecessary most of the time.
