BLT Standard 1-Bedroom @ 7 months

I know that standard studios are rarely available at 7 months, but are standard 1-bedrooms equally as difficult to reserve during Adventure and Choice season?

Yes... I am an owner and have had issues getting a room in September at the 11 mos point before... it's hit and miss. You'll never know until you try and I always suggest waitlisting.

I am 2/2 on getting a lake view 1-Bedroom at 7 months, both times for the week following Easter. For this trip, I booked the lake view outright and waitlisted a standard view - which cam through about 6 weeks ago! so it definitely can be done.

Your chances of getting BLT standard any size room during adventure or choice season are slim. Chances are low year round with somewhat higher during March and April outside of the Easrter weeks but even then you need some luck. Also, BLT standard is a mixed bag for what books up last as there are a number of times when 1BRs disappear before studios.

Also be aware that your chances of getting BLT anything including Lake View at 7 months out during those two seasons for more than two or three nights in a row are not good during October, first 11 to 12 nights of Nov, first few days of Jan, and Thurs to Mon of marathon weekend in Jan, and chances are just about zero to getting anything at BLT during the first two weeks of Dec.

It's the largest booking category so you should be able to get a LV room and you can always waitlist a standard if the standard isn't available from the get go.

Well, in February that's 4 1/2 months out, I was able to get a BLT standard view bedroom for 1 of 2 nights in June. The waitlist for the second night hasn't come through. The nights we wanted were Sunday and Monday. We got the Sunday, waitlisting for Monday.

DS's family lives in FL, so it's not a huge thing if they only have 1 night, no air tix are needed, and they can enjoy that whole second day at the resort, then just drive home, but still. It's DDiL's birthday celebration, so I hope it happens for her.

At the time I booked, LV was also not available for both nights. It was only available for 1, so I made the choice of booking for lesser points.

BLT can be strange - booked July 4 this year - lots of availability- everything was open - tried NEXT week to book July 3 - impossible.

certainly don't understand it - but on the CRO side there is plenty of studios and villas - and yet DVC claims they don't have enough to rent out?????

anyway agree you won't know until you try - you might get lucky and get it - or you might have to take LV and go on the waitlist for standard

rci trades go to RCI not disney.

only cruises, wdw collection, conceirge & adventures go to disney.
the claim was that BLT did not enough trading out for Disney not RCI.
