BLT rooms

HELLO EVERYONE.. I am planning a trip for 9 this coming June. I enjoy the planning as much as the trip but this is not going so well. First I purchased additional pts and Disney has dragged their feet so I am still waiting since June for final approval.. I have a 2 br at BLT and a wait list for a second BLT since all 4 couples want their own br.
I have been at WDW over 20 times but have never stayed at BLT..
Do they have ground floor room???
My husband is a smoker and I am worried about his access to the designated areas? any advice?

There are 9 ground floor 2BRs, one dedicated (it can only be a 2BR) and 8 lock-offs (combined 1BR and studio). They are all in the "standard" room booking category. Thus, unless you have standard view you cannot request a ground floor unit.. Also, if you instead have lake view, be aware that the recommended request is usually high floor because the higher you are the better the view. If the issue is getting outside quickly to smoke then the second request should be close to an elevator.

The dedicated standard 2 bed on the ground floor is lovely. There are sheers in the living room. It faces the marina and has a terrific view of the lake. It does not have shears in the bedrooms (like the rest of the place).

As a non-smoker, I have noticed there is a smoking area on a deck of the Contemporary, just as you get off the sky bridge from BLT. So, having a room close to the sky bridge or the elevator would be convenient. Hope you love BLT---we do!!
