DH and i went to the DVC presentation at BLT last october.
27yo DD and i are going to WDW next week (may 1:banana:), and i would like to show her BLT - are members allowed to attend more than one presentation? (btw, she is not listed on our membership, but lives in the same household).

i'm assuming (hoping;)) yes, but i would prefer knowing in advance, if possible.

thank so much :)

When you get to WDW, stop by any DVC KIOS and ask the rep there if there is a BLT persentation, they have a sign up for it, and maybe you could get into a date while you are there...
I have been three times, each time I had someone different with me

Hope this helps...

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

Sure you can go as many times as you want. We like going to the different DVC resorts and taking the tour. Nice way to see if you want to stay there... I don't think they run BLT tours on a normal schedule so you need to see if they have an available date you can use. Have a nice time.

I just attended the BLT presentation on Thursday. They were Tuesday and Thursday at 12:40pm during our stay. The best part was all attending including kids received the DVC - VIP fastpasses. This entitled you to 3 fastpass that got you on the ride immediately. My boys loved it. :lovestruc

we received the nice selection of finger foods and beverages, mickey portfolio, light-up thingies, FPs, and a few other doo-dads i don't recall, last time. i DO know we did not win any GC's;)
the give-aways made me wonder if they limited ppl to a single presentation in a certain timeframe (or not).

personally, the "free gifts" wouldn't be worth the few hours the travel and presentation takes if we weren't really interested, but i know how they sometimes need to limit things so ppl don't just keep going for freebies.

that was helpful, everyone - thank you :)

i thought current members were generally not supposed to take tours but were limited to "owner's hours" for viewing the models. maybe they changed the rules...

They were signing members up for this presentation during the DVC Christmas party in December so I am assuming that current members are welcome. We went and enjoyed it. I won a cool DVC clock.

this one is actually for current DVC members :)

Yes, up at the TTWL. We did it over spring break. I felt like it was worth the 1.5 hours for the fast passes. We used it as a break form the midday crowds at MK. Enjoyed the snacks and presentations, bypassed the tour. I'd do it again if I was there for a week.

A couple questions:

The length of the Presentation is 1.5 hours?
Kids can participate too?
Are FastPasses always awarded?
Are the FastPasses only good for THAT day? Could you hold them until a future date in your trip?

TIA for your help!:flower3:

Ours was 1.5 hours(we skipped out on the tour at the end).Kids can join in or they have people in the community room.
FP were good for 4 days.

Yes, but longer than 1.5 hours if you tour the rooms too. Kids have the choice of participating or going to a kid's club. The special fast passes area for each person and good with 3 days of the date you take the tour. Since we were just two adults, we used our over 2 days. There are 3 instant fast passes on each card. Oh, and someone on our tour was leaving that day, so they gave us theirs too!:thumbsup2

Also, the fast passes work at any park or combination of parks during those 3 days. There must still be fast passes available though (unlike the volunteer fastpasses they did in previous years). We liked the instant fp cards because we have teens that don't get out of bed very early. My DH took the cards and walked over to Epcot in the morning (we were staying at BCV) and he got us Soaring fastpasses so we could ride it later in the day without waiting. We would have NEVER gotten all four of us to Epcot in the morning to get fp so this was a treat. [The only time I have ever seen them get up early in the morning was last year when we had an early morning preview of WWoHP that they didn't want to miss. They were up on their own with a smile on their faces, just for Harry.]

Thanks everyone!
It sounds like a neat opportunity.
Only problem I can foresee with the Presentation is that we'll end up buying an add-on!:rotfl:

Can someone tell me how to sign up for this tour? I don't want to do the preview at SSR, but I would like to go to the presentation at BLT. We will be down during Christmas week. (We are also already DVC members).

For member's tour of BLT, we called from our villa to sign up after we checked in to SSR & DVC guide set us up for following day because they happened to be giving tour on that day.

:)

Hope I am not changing the subject here, but can you do the BLT tour if you are staying at BLT? And can you do it if you did it last year? We did it last July and it was fun and well worth it to get the fastpasses. Mine even worked for the Rockin Rollercoaster after the machine said that it was out of fast passes.
