BLT or VWL??

Which would you choose? We are staying at AKL Nov 3-8. We added a night to the beginning of our trip at BLT to give it a try. Last night my husband tried to book a studio at WL on a whim, and actually got it! Now we have to decide which to cancel. We've never stayed at either one. Which would you choose?

I'd go with BLT - to visit the TOTWL to see WISHES and/or eat a dinner at the CG. I like to eat around 6 pm or so to be there for sunset. I'd make the arrival (or check-out) day a MK day. Nothing like walking to the MK.

OTOH, Artist Point is a great place for dinner and taking the boat to the MK is fun, too.

Whatever - HAVE fUN!

VWL- short boat ride to MK, cool theming, & good bus service! Check out the activities @ Ft Wildnerness. Can still do TOTW if you stay @ VWL. Cool way to see fireworks.

I am not a big fan of the Contemporary so that sways my vote, too.

How many of you are going? If you have five (like in your signature), you have too many for a studio.

If you have four or less for the studio, the BLT studio is the smallest one there is (except for the Value studios at Jambo House). If only two of you and maybe an infant or small child, the BLT might work okay. If the two of you plus children, I'd go with VWL. BLT studio has most of the space in the hallway, kitchenette and bathroom leaving little for the living space. If you need both the queen sized bed and double sleeper sofa, they almost touch when the sleeper sofa is open. And the sleeper sofa is right up next to the window.

I agree. We (family of 4) stayed at a BLT studio in January, for 3 nights. We really were not impressed at all. The carpet in needed a good cleaning, it had numerous stains, that looked pretty nasty . But we did have a good view of the MK fireworks.

Very tough, yet different choice!!

I would choose BLT for one reason:

You will be staying at AKL which IMHO has a similar warm feeling of VWL. By staying at BLT you would get two unique and great experiences in the same vacation.


Either way, you will not make a wrong decision.

As far as I'm concerned, there's no better location than BLT. Love being able to walk to MK and get to Poly and GF by monorail for meals and shopping.

Thanks for all the input! I think we may try VWL this go round. We've never actually stepped foot in WL, so it seems more exciting to branch out.
