My son REALLY wants to try the Poly villas for an upcoming stay but the more I read about it the less interested I am. Our other options would either be BLT or VWL. If we stayed at Poly I would miss Community Hall and the activities surrounding it. I also am hesitant about the views in the Poly longhouses. Any opinions appreciated as I would like to book by midweek.:scared:

Depends on your priorities.

I prioritize room space (poly studios are huge, as are BLT 1bds, but BLT studios tiny), so I would choose poly, unless I were to stay in a 1bd. Then I would choose BLT.

I also prefer access to parks (walk to ttc from poly is a nice option, so getting to Epcot and MK is easy. Then again, BLT walk to MK is as easy as it gets). Bc of the ttc option, again I would go poly. However, poly only marginally wins on this one.

Views? Completely irrelevant to me. I'm a std BWV person through and through. If views matters, you may want to stick with BLT theme park. Can't comment on wilderness.

You can't go wrong ;) either way. Enjoy!

We stayed at Poly Lake View in July and have stayed at BLT at least 4 times including the end of our Poly Trip.

In regards to resort itself, Poly has my vote. If you have Standard View request Mooreau. While we had lake view 3rd floor it was great. But even if you have Standard view IMO just walking around resort/pool/GCH/Marina give you tremendous views during the day. If you are going to EPCOT at all being able to walk to TnT to get monorail is nice. Not sure how old your Son is its hard to know what would work best for you. I think he will enjoy the pool at Poly even if he is too big for the"kids" area. There is the Lilo and Stitch Playhouse (fee for "babysitting") that is available there.

After this past vacation Poly is our #1 choice on monorail

You can still go to any of the community halls. I don't know if you've stayed at any of the resorts but might as well give them all a try.
