BLT or GF

We are a family of 4 and looking for a 3 night stay at either the GF or BLT studios room. We would be going with our teenage twins this summer so the Pool matters! We are then moving to BC for 4 nights. Im concerned about the lack the theming at BLT and size of rooms. Should I bother switching?

Are you considering a GF resort room or VGF studio? Either way, I would switch to GF or VGF from BLT. The BLT studio is quite small and the pools at CR/BLT aren't great, IMHO. GF/VGF is, IMHO, a better overall resort.

GF for me! Pools are great and rooms are beautiful! The best advice I could give you is to watch videos on YouTube!! It really does help! Good luck deciding!

I would choose the Grand.

The BLT studios are rather small. They might not look that way on paper because their square footage is comparable to other DVC studios. But the kitchenette takes up a lot of that space. As a result, the sleeper sofa is only a full size, not queen size. And there’s no split bathroom, which could be an issue with teens.

VGF studios have a split bathroom. They also have a bunk size Murphy bed in case your twins don’t want to share a bed. The feature pool has a little more theming but isn‘t too large given the size of the resort. But the courtyard pool is large and less popular. It just isn’t elaborately themed. It’s a good thing that BC is the second half of your stay because no other pool is going to compare to SAB.

BLT used to have an edge solely because you could walk to MK, but now that you can walk from GF, I’d choose GF. The resort feels more intimate and the two bathrooms is a big plus in the DVC studio villas.

BLT one bedroom would give you two full bathrooms.

I love BLT but it’s based on many great memories I’ve had there with my daughter. That being said the pools are pretty boring and the room is small. Based on your needs, I’d go with GF. GF is a gorgeous resort and we stayed there once and liked.
