Going in March with my 5 year old and approx 6 month old...I was thinking all along to do Beach Club but thinking it may be easiest with infant to do BLT with monorail...We haven't stayed at either yet...Thanks

Personally i would say BLT. Chances are you will spend more time at MK especially with 2 young ones.

Thanks for the replies...What about non park days though since there is more to do at the Boardwalk...

We found there to be lots to do at the Contemporary, and although we loved the Boardwalk, there wasn't a whole lot going on during the day. BWV are very large and spread out.

BLT's community room has lots of activities. Our 5 , 6 and 7 year old DGC enjoyed the room last January.

And if your children like animals it's a short boatride over to FW from BLT to see the horses and ponies and I think there are some goats.

BLT has a community hall to - it has a several things for little ones = lots of colors. plus viedo/computer games

I went to BLT with my 3 year old & 13 month old and then to BCV with my 4 year old & 18 month old, and we liked BCV. We just liked the theming better, and although we spent most of our time at MK, the bussing wasn't a problem at BCV. My kids liked playing at the beach and the pools at BCV. We went to the Boardwalk one night for dinner and then for breakfast. BLT was just kind of boring.

I would pick BLT. With a baby, nothing beats being able to push the stroller onto the monorail at night and stroll all the way back to the room without folding the stroller - from either MK or Epcot or any of the monorail resorts. You can also walk back to BLT from MK. This way if the baby falls asleep in the stroller, you can continue on with your evening. And even if the baby isn't sleeping, we always had lots of stuff in our stroller - BLT and monorail is the way to go.

Thanks again for everyones help. That's just it: Ease to MK on one hand and what I view as a better night life/pool on the other. Decisions...decisions

No goats anymore, but definitely ponies. And a playground.

At BLT you have access to the following without even having to walk outside:
California Grill
Chef Mickey's
The Wave
(what's the name of the quick service at the Contemporary?)
Kona Cafe
'Ohana
Captain Cooks
Citricos
Grand Floridian Cafe
1900 Park Fare
Narcoossees (well, you do have to walk outside to get to that one once you're at the GF)
Gasparilla's

That's access to 3 character meals without ever going outside, which is great for those rainy spring days.

The Contemporary also has probably the widest array of marina and recreation options of any resort. There's a splashpad/water play area at both the pools, something BC doesn't have.

Another great feature of staying at BLT...if you are going to another resort for a meal, close proximity to MK makes that easy. Just walk over to the MK bus stop and hop on that resort's bus. There's no other resort that has such an easy way to get to another resort (other than the monorail resorts). Of course, this only works if MK buses are running, but that's going to cover you most of the time.

I would pick the BLT, very convenient to MK and lots to do at the other resorts that are a short monorail ride away.

I'm getting talked into BLT...Now with that said:

How is availability 7 months out for last week in March?

One Bedroom

Either resort will be great choice. Whether you are going to the parks or hanging our by the pool you will not be disappointed with either property. Enjoy your vacation.
