BLT open to CRO already???

I might be wrong but I think that DVC has a hold back of 4% (that might include the 2% for maintenance hold back). That is the figure I've always read and I've been a member for 13 years.

Here's what I found in the BWV POS dated 4/99, page 182:

"DVD Home Resort Vacation Points. DVD does not anticipate the sale to the general public Ownership Interests that equal more than ninety-six (96%) of the total amount of undivided percentage interests exisiting at any time within a Unit, and in no event will DVD sell Ownership Interests that equal more than ninety-eight percent (98%) of the total amount of such undivided percentage interests (although DVD reserves the right to convey its Ownership Interests to a successor developer). All Home Resort Points assigned to DVD in connection with these Ownership Interests will be governed by the same rules and regulations pertaining to all Club Members."

So the way I read it, they anticipate holding 4% but have to hold at least 2%.

I saw this on the resort board.

While I am a BLT owner and was able to book this past sunday(I have to wait until the end of the month as not planning on going back until feb 2010), I am upset as a DVC owner.

BLT owners have only had 3 days to book rooms (system was down monday), and non BLT owners have not have a chance yet to book rooms(right?) and they are already opening it up to non DVC owners at a cash rate?

Ok, Disney did is not "already opening it up to non DVC owners at a cash rate".....

Disney is opening it up to *EVERYONE* to book at cash rates regardless if they are DVC members or not. You can book a cash reservation there just like anyone else. You are not excluded from making a cash reservation just because you are a member.

I know you are upset that they started cash reservations so soon but I think just the way you worded it, it made it sound like non DVC members are less important than members. Lets get the non members cash for booking those rooms to help cover costs!
