Can’t recommend them as an international seller, wasn’t a great experience and a disturbing lack of knowledge on FIRPTA, there were also some hidden fees that were not outlined upfront
Selling with www.DVCSales.com was excellent though and they matched lowest commission out there, 7% whereas DVCRM is 9.25%

Interesting. I would have assumed since they are such a high volume broker they would be experts. Im not international but this is good to know.

I cannot stress this enough. With any title company or broker, you need to check each document, each amount. In the past about sixteen months, I purchased three contracts. Two had title contract errors that were, each time, thousands of dollars off (and not in my favor). I'm grateful for everyone who works with DVC contracts, but mostly these are learn-on-the-job positions for people with little previous experience with real estate transactions.

So they said you owed more than what the contract was or?

In both cases, they under-listed the deposit and requested thousands more to close. Both had to be rewritten.

It definitely happens. On one of my resale contracts (AKV) that was missing some current year points, they forgot to put the credit for the used points and effectively tried to charge me an extra 1-2k. I had them fix it pretty easily but make sure to check how much you deposit and how much remains vs what they try to have you wire over. It looked a little high to me and that's when I found it.
