BLT is almost sold out!

Hmm really weird cause we were on the Wonder Dec 13 - 17, went to the DVC meet on Monday; met Roland, Christina, and Matt ? (iffy on Matts name) and at that time were told BLT was selling at a very good pace but it wasn't sold out yet. They estimated 7 - 9 months before that would happen....

Wonder why the info changed between Mon and Thurs?

Or maybe he meant they were nearly sold out of the declared inventory?

That's what DVC Guide Roland said at the DVC member get-together on the Wonder on Thursday! Get your points while they are still available because they are "almost sold out" (his exact words). Does anyone really believe that BLT is almost sold out?

Had a call tonight, just now, on a followup from the webcast...She said BLT is not close to sold out. And, that 3 other resorts are Still selling....

we've been staying at blt for the past 9 days. They are pretty constantly bringing people on tours throughout the day. There are a couple of times I've almost felt tacky by the conversations that were happening in the halls as we pass ("if you use a disney visa to put $500 down, they will spread it out interest free" = "the value is you are saving money on future vacations, after 10 years it will pay for itself" "for 200 pts. dues are 8 hundred whatever a year at Kidani but only whatever a year at saratoga, and you can stay wherever you want 7 months out. Of course, if you want to stay at BLT, it is a smaller resort and in high demand..." etc.). I didn't even know they were still selling saratoga points but I heard that so I guess they are.

Come-on people, that's the most said sentance ever said by a sale person.I can go up top to the timeshare store and buy 1000 point at OKW right now, and OKW has been "SOLD OUT" some 8 or 9 years now. Remember this: nothing is "SOLD OUT" if there is money to be made.

I added on 2 weeks ago at BLT. My guide Megan (she is an old timer guide) told me she expects BLT to be sold out by April. She told me this after the deal was made so she had nothing to gain by offering this information. I believe it to be a rumor, but I have heard that a second BLT tower is planned.

Why isn't Disney more aggressively pushing SSR sales?

Resales are in the hi 60's / low 70s...

SSR is the largest (most rooms) of all DVC properties. The more rooms, the longer to sellout.

SSR was sold out but then they built the TreeHouse Villas and bibbity, bobbity, boo; new points for sell at SSR. SSR, AKV and GCV all have the same offers in recent promos. I think the offers are at the current levels because they do still sell. Maybe not in the fast selling numbers at BLT, but are still steady sales. There are threads for both AKV and SSR showing how the sells are progressing.

Was is ever determined that SSR was sold out, or just reasonably close enough to say that before they opened THV? For some reason, I think there are a lot of normal SSR points out there, too.

I'm sure the different "pushes" are more related to individual resort accounting. SSR construction (quite possibly lower cost per unit) is most likely already paid off/in the black. AKV still needs sales before that resort is deemed a success from a development perspective.

When we did a tour of BLT in early December, the guide (not ours) told us Disney did some test drilling earlier this year but found out the ground by the remaining would not hold another tower.

The SSR discounts were $12 off pp for 100 points, $14 off pp for $125 points, $14 off pp for 160 points, and $18 off per pt for 200 points. SSR is $112 per point.

BLT is $120 per point. For 100 points, its a $7 discount pp, 125 points $9 discount pp, 160 points $11 discount pp and 200 points a $13 discount per point.
